Aside from the breakdown against Tebow and the absolutely miserable play by the secondary, the DL had a good game. I'm not sure what they did but I'll have to go back and look at how they played a bit more. From what I saw Odrick was finally inside at three technique DT and the team rushed heavily with four guys. Starks also played well.

I can't get the image of V. Davis getting beat and than giving up on the play and strolling after the wr.

I remember that Vontae has played like total **** this whole year. Still I'm curious to see what the gaps and assignments were for the DL this time around. I saw these guys firing off the ball looking very different from previous games.

Well, he's right. We do. Guess what though Reggie, you're a part of the problem. This guy has done nothing since coming here. Although, I suppose thats more on the coaches than him.

Cut him. Draw a line in the sand. Even if the losses continue at least the franchise shows some dignity.... For some future luck

The problem isn't that the team stinks as far as talent in general. They lack in heart, killer instinct, conditioning, and giving a ****. That's the problems. Oh yeah...and Matt Moore, and Brandon "the drop master" Marshall.

I think it's the presence of a lame-duck coach who shows lack of preparation.

Vontae's been hurt and he hurt himself during that play. He was taken out after that. I could tell by the way he was running that his hamstring was acting up.

I disagree. 4 1st round draft picks and J Long to show for it. You can't win without stars and please don't get me started on the FA selections.

I certainly agree that the defensive line played well for most of the game. Of course it has to be pointed out that the Broncos have a very bad offensive line at this time. Tebow also does not read NFL defenses very quickly at this time and he doesn't do a very good job of finding secondary receivers. So when his primary receiver was covered, he seemed slow to react and with the bad offensive line play of the Broncos, the Dolphins defensive line was able to make some plays for the first time in the last six games.

Next weeks when the Dolphins play the Giants, we will better be able to determine if the defensive line has actually started to play better for real or was their play yesterday merely a one game improvement against a bad Broncos offense with a QB who seemed completely lost for 90% of the game.

What I want to see is if Miami switched alignments on the front. All of a sudden Langford, Starks, and company start getting sacks? This DL was arguably at its best in 2009 when guys were simply one-gapping and that's big. It could be a huge part of a turn around next year if we find that these guys can play. That's an entire defensive line well stocked if these guys can turn it around.

This is why I still think Miami will be in the top five not the worst overall record is this DL. The secondary holds together, Clemons starts, Jimmy Wilson starts at S things can turn around on D. Nolan is stubborn, but he can see the difference in his DL if they're trying to penetrate rather than read and react.

The wheels on the bus have completely fallen off. Coach knows he's being fired, players know a new regime will be coming in, we'll have a new rookie QB, they know they're eliminated from the playoffs which means some aren't trying as hard. That's what happens when a team collapses, even with talent.

A little different from 2007, they tried and just sucked. This regime failed under a "play not to lose" mentality and lost the team. I think the players were lost in December, and some had little faith in Henne. Crowder said he didn't think Henne was a quality starter...we know he talks a lot, but you know other players on this team thought the same, and others thought the same things Ricky said back in January about the coaching.

Are there still people that would rather see 4 wins than the #1 draft pick? Doesn't matter anyway, it's unlikely we get more than 2 or 3 wins.

The pronoun that should have come to mind is "we," if he was going to say it at all, which IMO he shouldn't have. I admit I could be reading too much into "this team," but it was still inappropriate. He breaks a couple of meaningless runs and feels himself entitled to be an omniscient observer and put down the team he's on. Sounds self-centered to me.

I don't know, giving up 183 rushing yards is not my definition of good DL play. They got gashed frequently throughout the game. If you're referring to the pass pressure only then I would agree.

Could it be that Nolan is going against the whole coaching philosophy and trying different things when other stuff isn't working? TS might fire him for doing that.

I've never been a big Bush fan, but I will say it looks to me like he has given 100% when he's called on. It's not his fault the OC keeps trying to have him run his 175lb body into the middle of the line. He's not that kind of player. The OC is trying to fit a round peg into a square hole.

I agree with bolded part. Not sure about the Moore part. He has to be mad at all the balls his WR's drop. He would probably be at the top of the NFL in stats if they didn't drop 25% of his balls.
