I was watching CB tape on some prospects this year and stumbled across Sam Darnold the Redshirt Freshman QB of University of Southern California. I was completely blown away in a good way. He's one hell of a prospect and probably the best college QB I've seen in years. His pocket awareness is uncanny and his movement in the pocket reminds me a lot of Aaron Rodgers. His accuracy and decision making is incredible from the tapes I've seen of him. He's probably going to be talked up like Andrew Luck was a few years ago when he enters the draft (which could be as soon as next year). Anyways, remember his name because he's going to be one hell of a NFL QB.

if he repeats his freshman season he's going first overall. the kid had an unbelievable freshman year.

He has thrown some interceptions this year. But my favorite QB is Josh Rosen after watching him play.

Rumors starting that Darnold considering returning, especially if Cleveland has the first pick.
Frankly, I am surprised more players don't pull the Eli Manning/John Elway thing. I mean, why would anyone play for that garbage franchise? The Colts are also a ****show with Irsay throwing Luck under the bus!?!?!? -
Hell, Hue’s career is over after Cleveland. Isn’t this his second HC job?
I did see a mock draft having Darnold falling to 14. I hope he is on the board when we are up. Miami should jump on him. -
Darnold falling to us = instant pick. Dude has struggled a bit more this year, but he is a damn good QB. This draft could be quite QB heavy, will need to see where everyone shakes out at. -

After last night's game, i like Rosen better

Way back in 2003 when C.Palmer was selected the only QBs drafted since are M.Sanchez, M.Leinart, M.Cassel, Cody Kessler, John David Booty and Matt Barkley..... YEEESH. Blame it on the program or blame it on the pro organization that drafts them, but something is missing. My opinion is that they all lack(ed) intestinal fortitude and a burning desire to compete.

Cal QB's were maligned until Rodgers too. Folly to scratch off a name just based on school. I do think that schools that get a "rep" for busts at a position require that player have extra scrutiny, just make sure the player's success was not simply the talent around them. But it's not something you can really knock them for unless there are clear deficiencies.
