Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Renaldo Hill is leaving his post as the Chargers defensive coordinator in order to join the Dolphins coaching staff. Hill will be the defensive pass game coordinator in Miami.
Hill worked for Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio for two years when Fangio was the head coach in Denver before going to the Chargers when Brandon Staley, who also worked under Fangio, became their head coach.

This offseason will be much more low-key than the last, but it will be just as interesting. We have most of the chess pieces on board, now we're figuring out a winning strategy. Fangio's hiring and influence (along with getting several injured players back) is huge. Bringing in a DC as a position coach is a crazy attestation to how much he's respected, not just to Hill, but to Staley who absolutely could have prevented the move.

Wonder what this means for Sam Madison if anything? Part of his title was Passing Game Specialist.

That's cool and here I thought Hill was in line for a DC job elsewhere. Awesome hiring for us!
