However, the main reason food prices are rising could be attributed to higher fuel prices. Its become very expensive to ship large quantities of food around the country due to the high cost of fuel (diesel). My trucker brother in law said it costs like $800 to fill up a standard tractor trailer.
Corn price is affecting the food prices though, especially dairy related. But there are almost always more than one reason for a problem. -
