That was said in a very non serious way.....was just jokin with u Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Any 300 lb NFL offensive lineman makes a living off of physical confrontation so I don't understand why you don't bait Incognito into a fight and take care of it at practice one day. Unless it is Incognito plus four guys, that might be different. Of course, maybe this is why Jake Long opted for St. Louis, maybe the offensive line is full of absolute douchebags
Yeh..if I was being serious I would have chosen something other then Mr Snarky Tone Man Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
what I said has nothing to do with how big martin is. I'm sure you know that though and are just trying to flail your way out of the corner you backed yourself into.
I have a black friend at work, married to a white woman. When she calls him, he answers the phone "good morning, n----- lover" Context is extremely important because of the relationship of the parties involved..if this was a back & forth ribbing thing between Martin and Cogs, then why should it bother anyone else?
No..actually I was trying to lighten the discussion..and I havent backed into any corner...much less feel the need to flail my way out of one Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
If you feel it is sad because Incognito obviously has a serious problem and also is a racist who needs to get some help, I agree with you. If you think it is sad because that means the Dolphins will be minus one offensive lineman, I can't agree because I don't think Incognito is any longer a fit for the Dolphin organization. He was suppose to be one of the leaders of this team and based on the messages he send to Martin, he is anything but a leader. He needs to go ASAP.
I don't feel sorry for Incognito. When you get paid millions you don't have to wear a suit or tie but you sure as hell have to act like professional and not embarrass the organization. He's acted poorly (the twitter nonsense is one very public example) and, of course, the whole mess makes it sound like we run a pee wee football team
Of course I agree with that sentiment. The core issue is..this should never have left the locker room. It should have been handled there long time ago. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I think we have some idea that was not the relationship here, otherwise I wouldn't be watching the crap on every news channel this afternoon.
they realized that that little NFL experiment that JR was trying is now over. Martin turned down the opportunity to be a fourth gen African American to go to Harvard Law School. guess what is in store for little Johnny when all this is over...
I call BULLCRAP on that because Philbin also said that he had a private meeting with Martin I think Tuesday...Before the Bengals game. Why wasn't this dealt with before the game? It's a scumbag move from the brass to not deal with this prior to playing the Bengals and i'll tell you right now Philbin is lying....A private meeting but none of this is talked about? What did they talk about then?
But what if most of the team actually thought he was a good leader. So far..all Im hearing is total support for Richie from all the players Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I don't think anyone had any idea about the relationship until Jon Martin took his ball and ran home to Mommy and Daddy to lawyer up.
Of coarse, ESPN is all up in arms roasting this situation to the bone. I mean pure drama queens. I wish they would keep Cogs now as an FU to everyone else and become galvanized.
Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP Ellerbe, who is on team's leadership council, said Martin never came to them with complaints. He said Martin should have tried that approach
Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP Shelby on Incognito: "I don't think what people are saying about him is true
Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP Derrick Shelby on racial allegations: "Richie's definitely not that type of guy. If you had to pick a guy to get your back, I'd pick Richie"
Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP Jared Odrick: "Richie has been nothing but a fun loving guy to me ... Hard working and would stand up and fight for anybody on this team."
Going to have to sign an OL if they cut him. Lance Louis might in better shape by now and knows the playbook. What are Lyndon Martha and Ray Feinga up to? J/k
I would threaten to do that to Mach... am... am I a bully? Hell, you bullied Van during the GML Free Agency period, ya big ogre!
Seeing as how the team is about 80% black, to get elected to the leadership council means he had to get a lot of black votes. I'd guess by far most of this team, if not 50 other players, do not consider him a racist.
th That is your perception. Facts are facts. I try to look at the evidence, and those communications say something different. Does it mean Martin handled right? Maybe not. But it is what it is.
I think that is what hurts here. Richie is probably not the guy he is colored to be, nor is Martin. Sad.
How? He is in a lose/lose situation. Unless you're insinuating they go out and win despite the projected release of Incognito. That, I would agree with.
Seems to be a shock to everyone in the locker room, too. Not in regards to Richie's behavior, but in Martin's reaction
National news?!? Jesus Christ! Football lockerooms are immature, childish and overall nasty. I don't think incognito is a racist and I doubt that was the first time he called him that. If Martin didn't like it he should have either talked to cogs privately or punched him publicly and it would have ended. IMO, this is all Martins parents pushing the buttons now to protect their adult son. The whole situation is sad and should have been handled by martin so many different ways
What I'm saying is that Joe needs to voice his support for Richie Incognito in private and in public, and if he's questioned about releasing him, he should be saying that you have to ask Jeff Ireland.
