Trust me, if Cam is gone, Capers will be too. The whole coaching staff more than likely will be purged, and a whole new slate comes in. Wayne I think has accepted the fact that this is a total rebuild job now, and will fill the jobs with new men.

This would be unfortunate. The merry go round continues with the coach. Cam should stay and be allowed to turn the team around. Our record next year would probably be 8-8 at best, but the second year with the same scheme if we Cam. If we change the HC I would expect 2 or 3 wins at best.
Actually, this should have been done a couple of years ago... Had the structure been in place during SABAN, and especially now, this team would be much different...
You are so right bro... There are those that will say that we are at bottom right now and a change now would be a minimum impact... However, those are the ones that REALLY don't understand the concept of a TEAM sport... I am 47 years old and I have a pretty good idea about Billl... I MHO, CAM is back as the HC of the FINS next year....
How about not coming into a new situation and not evaluating your players. He had Ronnie Brown, our most talented all around offensive player splitting games with Jessie Chatman? How about losing what was it 5 games or so by 3 points or less, some of that has to be coaching. Seemed like a nice enough guy, but NOT head coach material, he lost the respect of the players (The Traylor incident). As Dolphin fans we should thank our lucky stars we have Parcells as the head of operations, I only wish he could stay longer!!
Again, you are generalizing simply to lend support to your argument. You think I don't understand TEAM sports because I feel it's wise to have a HC that is an unknown HC commodity reviewed on his performance and hold him accountable if in fact there are issues that raise questions about his effectiveness? You can have a ship full of a fantastic crew. The best around in fact. Regardless, the captain of the ship calls all the shots and if he's incompetent he can run that ship right up onto the rocks. I understand the concept of a TEAM just fine. Enough to know that every single aspect of that team NEEDS to be assessed when there is failure.
Another way, a more bottom line way to look at this would be... Do you honestly believe that a team coached by Cam would EVER be able to beat a team coached by Billichik? I don't, I think even if we had great personal & were playing a team that was clearly less talented but TOUGHER, Cam would lose every time. How did the Chargers do with Cam calling the plays, when they were the more talented team, playing at home?
I really don't think you can "set back" a 1-15 team. really, what direction was the team in? If you want to be upset be upset about Wayne not hiring someone like Bill Parcells last year...or even instead of Saban.
Yeah, Bill's is gonna can Cam so he can hire a crony who is a worse head coach than Cam. Makes sense to me. Bill should read FH before making any decisions.
i have nothing against Cam, but if we are cleaning house, i'd rather he goes as well. lets start over clean, so there can be no excuses next year, no more moves to be made.
Stability is only 1 component of many for success. Stability is a positive only if that stability is quality. If a staff is bad then you are going to get consistent rubbish from it. There lies the weakness with this "we need to stay the course for the sake of stability" argument. Another way of putting it is if you expect different results by doing and staying with the same course of action continously defines insanity. Its tough for Cam to get fired just after one year and it may not be completely fair. But life is not fair. There are some players who don't like him and the fact is WE FINISHED 1-15! PERIOD! He might get another shot as a HC and IMHO he will be a fine OC somewhere else. Anyone who does their homework understands that Parcells has a methodology he does not waver from and he brings his people, those who have attributes he desires in someone else, with him. It is the way it is like it or not. Wayne H. has annointed him Emperor; let's watch how the Emperor creates his Empire.
if all the rumors are correct about cam... the rumors of players cursing him on the field and in meetings... the rumors of his monitoring websites... he also IMO lead a very easy training camp leading to a bad season.... and lets not forget that players have openly spoken out about the teams situation in negative tones... and finally the defensive system inplace had the team ranked #4 in total defense... cam IMO allowed capers to COMPLETELY change a system that worked and players looked lost and out of position all to often... cam also allowed the purging of veteran players who were still making contributions on the field inorder to make room for more salary cap friendly rookies who didn't make the contributions the vets did in the past... I ordinarily wouldn't want to see someone fired... and did see the improvement in the offense before the injuries... but if what is percieved is true cam needs to go!!!!
I guess the British paper was right. It happened exactly like they said it would. Fired last night, announced this morning.
