I think people have figured out that if they tweet like this they can drive traffic to their site or add twitter followers.

The idea that this story, which seems to have the Schefters and Glazers of this world reduced to guesswork, would be broken by random Internet site with no significant link to Fisher, is simply unbelievable.

Well this is the thing, there is obviously a chance that Fisher ends up with us, and then they will claim they broke the story, when they were just guessing. I guess I'm saying that this may end up being true (and I hope it is), but miamisportsbuzz has as much idea as we all do at this point in all likelihood.

Not sure what's up with the Matt Flynn stuff given his extremely thin résumé, but yes, Jeff Fisher's hiring doesn't exclude Matt Flynn's acquisition. In fact, it makes Flynn slightly more likely: if history holds, Fisher will want to implement a 4-3, which means we'll need that 8th or 9th overall pick to draft Quinton Coples. Your 2012 defensive line then looks something like Wake/Soliai/Starks/Coples.

Big picture, JJ took us to the playoffs 3 straight yrs and built a player foundation that just ended with JT's retirement.

He built a defensive foundation but failed miserably on the offensive side of the ball. And we having been limping offensively ever since. The "ever since" part isn't all JJ's fault, but he certainly did not build anything of a foundation there. Hell, the guy drafted John Avery over Randy Moss. And, to add to that, if it weren't for Marino, even in his latter stages, we wouldn't have won as many games as we did under Johnson.

 

Fisher has been out of coaching for a year, Johnson was out of coaching for three years. While you can certainly compare the two, it's ridiculous to say that the two will have a similar stint in Miami.
