Jets extend C Mangold This would leave only one, big name guy to sign left....I mean as much as it would be cool to see a long tension filled holdout from Revis, resulting in a year long holdout, I dont see it. I would expect to see him in there soon..... Profootballtalk.com reports that the Jets are close to signing C Nick Mangold to a contract extension. It sounds like the deal should be finalized by Tuesday at the latest. It will exceed Rams C Jason Brown's five-year, $37.5 million contract. Deservedly, Mangold will become the highest paid center in the league.
If he gets more than Jason Brown which is what they say he will be getting, the jets are going to be seriously cap strapped if there is one. This makes signing Revis that much more harder.
They need to extend David Harris as well I think, besides the obvious Revis holdout. Or did I miss him signing?
braylon edwards and santonio holmes are also running out of contracts soon, david harris and revis, that will need a lot of $$$ to get that done
