In his most definitive comments yet about his future with the Miami Dolphins, football operations boss Bill Parcells declared he intends to return to the club he helped rebuild from a one-win season into AFC East champions. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3857690
Thats comforting... The most comforting thing of all though for me still is when that 30 days is up... we should have a running countdown
Well good to hear those statements from BP, but like others in the thread have said I will be happy when it is final.
The inclusion of the opt out clause was understandable, considering the history he's had with owners. Having spent three years coaching under Jerry Jones would by itself, refute the belief he has no patience with them, but rather that he understands how quickly things can sour, and how ugly it can get, particularly when its out of his control, without the benefit of an excape hatch. Ross appears to be understanding, intuitive, and appreciative as the new owner, and nothing in his recent comments to the media, would seem to suggest him to be any less supportive, than Mr Huizenga has been. Nevertheless, in truth, there's nothing like hearing it straight from the Tuna.
'I will not take another dollar from the miami dolphins'....one of the best answers ive ever heard in professional sports. Respect The Code baby!!
Yeah, until the 30 days are up (around Feb 22nd), I won't be too comfortable...it's not like he gave us a "Saban" statement or anything.... Even then, knowing that Parcells has never lived out a contract, how comfortable can we all be ???
