NFP is reporting that Austin Spitler has been promoted to the active roster. And now we must speculate who is released. Perhaps one of the spare offensive lineman? Or did someone else get hurt? Channing done? http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Dolphins-sign-Austin-Spitler-to-practice-squad.html
MikeB thinks the Phins would wait until after the Pats game to decide on Channing so it's probably someone else.
Yeah, OK . Hopefully we can keep this disagreement going for a while, I'd hate for him to go into the game and prove my point.
No offense man. Its just the LBs. Your WRs have been VERY fast over the years. Teddy, Santonio, Terry G & Joey G. Even Hartline has a sneaky fast thing going for him. Robiskie is another story .
I don't expect much from him other than being a ST ace, but saying he's slow is inaccurate to say the least.
Well he's very likely to play since he is active, though more likely on special teams. IAF is also active. And only 5 DL active tonight. Those frontline guys are going to be gassed. Expect a lot of 4-man fronts with Misi/Moses/IAF as the strongside DE.
Guess your standards are a little different from mine. I watched him preseason and he was sloooow. Slow to diagnose plays mainly, but not a burner even when he did get his pedals moving.
Slow to diagnose plays I would agree with. I'm talking strictly foot speed however, and Spitler certainly isn't slow in that department. Not on tape, and not off his impressive pro day numbers either. He's not a burner by any means either.
A week or so ago, someone stated here in the forum that if a player is signed from a PS, they need to remain on the active roster for at least 3 weeks. That must only be when it is another team's practice squad.
