    Exactly!

I did not like the Jones pick, thought he was to stiff in the hips, I was quite wrong.

Hopefully he can fill that sort of oddball CFL hybrid Lb/Safety/Cb role, Ireland should catch a clue and lock him up imo.

I read several weeks ago that Ireland is working on a long term deal for him right now.

I think that would be prudent, I'd also try to lock up Big Paul Soliai.

That would mean the core of our D, DE/S/DT would all be under contract

It is awesome, far better than college football.

In seriousness though, several teams called CFL clubs to gain insight in how to defend the more modern NFL offenses that stole concepts from the CFL.

One may not like that factoid, it is however, a fact.

    Deal with it.

Him and Phillip Thomas would make for a nice safety tandem me thinks

given the choice between a good cover corner or a safety partner for Jones, I'd take the former. nice to have both, but would be great to move S Smith (if we resign him) or Marshall to our #2 CB.

I just have to say, two of Miami's snubs - Mike Pouncey and Reshad Jones - are more deserving of being in the game or alternates than Richie Incognito, Brian Hartline, and John Denney. Maybe even Randy Starks.

Wake, Jones, and Pouncey were Miami's best three players this year IMO.

I'd rather have the playmaking safety. If we get that spot nailed down, IMO, we can roll with Smith, Marshall, Patterson, Carroll, and a 2nd round corner.

That one handed pick six (shoulda been) of Brady was pure sex. Hoping Reedshad Jones continues to develop into a beast.

Not for me, but maybe the honey badger if he has any intelligence to limit his pot use, and become a young man playing a sport.

Best play reshad made this year imo was not on that video..

Against the niners, Kap boot legged to the right beautifully, I mean the whole defense beside RJ was completely fooled, Crabtree went deep, Kap threw deep about 60 yards to the endzone, and RJ was in his hip pocket, he watched it all go down, kept his peripheral vision on Crabtree, and had the speed to shadow that punk.

You'd rather draft the pot dealing Honey Badger and move him to safety next to Jones, than draft a turnover producing machine like Phillip Thomas?

What about pairing him with safety Bacarri Rambo if Thomas is not available with one of our seconds? He's a TO machine as well. Plus, you reunite him with Jones, which would be pretty cool.

my opinion on this player is all about whether his character has checked out, and where I can get a player of his caliber in the draft, I'm not a fan of Thomas so if I can get TM in the fourth, id take a chance on the player and I'll play him all over the field, nickel corner, free safety, blitzer, punt returner..

Rambo would be fine too. Either one would be a solid choice IMO. Maybe a round later, a good 3rd option IMO, if we missed out on Rambo and Thomas, would be Robert Lester. All three are ball hawks with fine ball skills. That is what we need.

It's relative to the round you think he would go, where do you have his stock at this point?

Or David Amerson, with a position switch to FS. I think at least one would be available with our second 2nd round pick.

I don't like the players game..

I see hesitation, he plays on his heels too much for my liking, waits for the action to come to him, I see poor awareness on too many occasions, I see poor fundamentals as a tackler, and I question his instincts, where I think the fine line is in his evaluation and where imo he's getting overrated, is what happens when he recognizes the play, he can look decent when that happens.

Oh damn, he's a fellow Bulldog like Jones. That would be pretty cool to have 2 safeties from the same school.

Lolol I loved when he just shoves Shonn Greene to the ground effortlessly and then just stares at him.

The honey badger to me would be a fourth safety or fourth or fifth corner. I wouldn't want him starting but to have him for situational depth, absolutely. For me Thomas it seems like Thomas makes me just as many plays on the field but is much more reliable off it.

I definitely wouldn't mind having Rambo. Big hitter, ball hawk, ideal size, i think his older brother is Ken-Yon Rambo, WR that I believe got drafted a few years ago so he has fairly good blood lines. Just the thing that scares me are the drug violations at Georgia. Supposedly the 2nd one was a mistake when he inadvertently ate a pot brownie. He had been clean every time they tested him before that.

In most other drafts I'd agree with you but I think there's going to be a lot of mid round value to be had this year that usually isn't there that will push him down our board. Now if we end up with that compensatory 4th thats been rumored and we have him graded high enough that only his off-the field stuff is making us question his rating, I'd say screw it and take him, its house money.

I wouldn't be upset but it would depend who was on the board. If you go buy CBS sports, guys like Chris Harper, Gavin Escobar, Mike Gillislee, and Alvin Bailey would be higher on the priority list to me.

Remember, the kid can return punts as well..development project at free safety, which we don't have anything of sort, fourth rounder, his talent and dynamics could be hard to ignore there.

I think the biggest difference in RJones game this year is that he now trust what he sees so his reaction time is a lot better.

IMO, he is a 3rd rounder.
