Respawn Entertainments first game may not be released until 2015, according to the company's leading concept artist Ian McDaig.
Speaking at the Develop Conference in Brighton, England, he said, "I'm having the most fun working with Respawn Entertainment right now, and I hate that I cant show you guys what I'm doing there until 2015."
Respawn's publisher EA has yet to announce any details of the developer's current projects, including projected release date. In June, Respawn released a cryptic, blurred screenshot and said its game would be a multi-platform product based on new video game IP.
Respawn was created last year by former Infinity Ward heads Vince Zampella and Jason West and employs a large number of developers who had worked on the Call of Duty franchise. Ian McCaig was hired by Respawn in May to work on the company's first game. He is a renowned artist whose work includes the original character designs for Star Wars' Darth Maul and Queen Amidala.
