Revis doesn't play I expect Hartline and Bess to find success. Kyle Wilson and Cromartie are the type that play better against overwhelming physical talents. The route running of the Dolphin WRs may very well piss them off.

If Revis doesn't play, the Jets as a football team suck.

The thing is neither the HC or Revis has ANY say in when he will play ... that will be up to both the team Dr. and an indepentent Dr. after Revis passes his tests, which he has yet to do.

It won't hurt my feelings if he sits out this game with us.

Our oline has not pass blocked very well, and the Jets blitz often, with or without Revis, this is a tough game. But without Revis it would be better.

I don't know man, he always seems to get us. If he does play it wouldn't surprise me to see him pick Tannehill once in the game.

Eh, let Revis cover Bline, so what?

A bit like trying to nail jello to the wall really, they could move him around it really wouldn't matter who he covered, we don't have a #1 Wr anyway.

Would love to see AA burn him the way Ginn did in 09 though.

    He will play.

So we should start the game by throwing a pass to Lane on that side of the field. Who knows...maybe he will have to sit out the rest of this one too.

I believe that sells short what Revis brings to the table, he more than just takes a single player out of the equation..his ability to cover a section of the field anticipating two actions (run defend, cover) is the best I've ever seen, this allows other players to not have to cover as much space, giving them more freedom to freelance..

I hope he plays. It would be less satisfying and meaningful if he doesn't...

Could you imagine Naanee burning Revis for a touchdown?

The football world's collective head would explode.

He got us last year in Jersey, other than that though we've had success against him all things considered.

Don't buy into that approach Deej, imo the Jest do us a favor by keeping him at Cb and not playing him at Safety where he could roam literally anywhere, if Revis is just a Cb he is limited to just the guy he is covering, as a Safety he would be a beast.

I hate to rain on the parade of hope, but does it matter? Either jet corner is capable of shutting down our WR core. Hartline had a good game, but I seriously doubt they're going to let him run comeback routes all game long like he did against Oakland. Combine that with their zone blitz against a rookie RT and rookie QB, and it's going to be tough to score on them. Revis or no Revis...

It sounds like he'll play, but if he doesn't it's a huge advantage for us. The big thing he does for the Jets is allow them to blitz more often. They don't have much pass rush when they don't blitz. They also do more combo coverages with him in there. Basically, he gives them options. It's certainly easier for RT when faces fewer defensive possibilities.

I don't care about Revis, I'd rather Keller not play. That's almost a guaranteed TD against us.

Concussions are no joke - he's no slam dunk to play. Either way, we should try to hit Armstrong or Hartline deep on the first play, over him. Not saying it will work, but need to test him, and open up the underneth a bit.

I don't agree Pod, he does more than take out a corner on the field, that's what I was trying to explain, he takes away a section of the field..the dude can roam and cover better than anyone I've seen.

If the Jets prepare for this which they will it's going to be great to watch Hartline burn him and keep the deep route for a TD.

Disagree, his ball skills and range would make him a beast of a safety and he could do more things.

He does get away with murder in terms of pass interference non calls.

I don't understand why everyone thinks a great corner would make a great safety. They are two completely different positions that just happen to have some overlapping in skill sets. The view of the field, ball angles, and responsibilities are completely different. Revis wouldn't make a great safety just because he is a great corner.

On behalf of me and the CDC we ask that you watch the Jets game with your lower half wrapped in Saran Wrap...just in case. An outbreak like should not be left to chance.

One reason it won't happen is they'll probably have Revis on either Bess or Hartline all game long. They'll let Cromartie or Wilson have Naanee.
