I just fell in love with him. He just said these exact words a couple of minutes ago on WFAN. This is such a breath of fresh air from the Mangina and Sperm Edwards. "I didn't come here to kiss Bill Bellichick's rings, I came here to win. We are not intimidated by New England or anybody else."
You have no idea what we went through up here with Moron Edwards and Maginia. Mangina was scared of the Patriots, that was obvious. It was pathetic. Where in Edwards' case, he wasn't scared, he was just a moron. He wouldn't say something like this, he would say: "LETS GET ON THE BUS MEN, DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU ARE ON THE BUS, JUST THAT YOU'RE ON IT!"
Mangenius blowing the whistle on Tapegate was helpful for us, and he took his guys on a 10 hour bus ride for a football camp...is that the bus your speaking of? Ryan is a bombastic guy, Buddy Ryan was the same way in Philly, I loved when B Ryan called the Run and Shoot the "chuck and duck"..
Oh really? 1995: 3-13 1996: 1-15 Those were my first two years of season tickets and first two years I can remember more than 1 or 2 games (seeing as I was 7 in '95) I think I do know how that feels. Just been a while.
let me ask you somethin...how can rex ryan possibly coach and call plays with 3 double cheeseburgers constantly shoved down his throat?
Maybe we should wait and see if he can win games as a head coach. Right now I think the odds are against him.
Anyone giving disrespect to the Patriots is a friend of mine, at least on that level. Although you can never be sure of the success of a coach before he takes the field (or an aging QB for that matter ) Ryan does have promise.
He talks a good game, just like his daddy. And his players will love him playing for him. Just like his daddy. He'll put butts in the seats, that's for sure. Whether or not he can get the Jets over the hump, we'll have to find out. But I expect that defense to be way better this year. They're too talented, and Ryan has too good a track record for it not to be. And Ryan will instill the same toughness and attitude that his dad gave to the Bears and Eagles defenses. It's gonna be tough sledding in the AFC East this year.
[/QUOTE] $10 bucks says every time he moves, you can detect a hint of BBQ sauce in the air. Any takers?
The first yr is going to be tough. The Jets have a tough sched. as well and w a unproven or a rookie QB its going to be a rough outing. And no matter how many different ways you try to sell Cotchery is a true #1, just like Ginn, he's really not. So you have untested QB, no real wideout help, and an aging RB core, although you picked up a nice one in the draft. Its going to be a rough year.
I nominate Rex Ryan as the "Andy Reid" of the AFC. At very least in size. In fact, I'd like a weigh off. To see who holds the NFL Crown.
So the fat jokes for Ryan continue? All from a team who has saggy **** sitting up in the VP box every game... And probably a few fatties in this thread as well lol... Unreal
bill parcells = 2 time super bowl winning head coach rex ryan = .........? son of a man who invented the 46 defense and coached some good eagles teams. good defensive coordinator at baltimore. has done nothing as a head coach. is fatter than parcells. and me. and probably both of us put together. /arguement
More cushion for the pushin? Seriously though if he was just large, or overweight there wouldn't be fat jokes. The guy is pretty much what would be considered morbidly obese.
Let's be honest.. Parcells has gone from SB champion to being just good enough to turn teams around and not being able to get them over the hump... You're just the latest casualty, not only is your VP that guy but so is your QB lol, anywho, his weight has nothing to do with his coaching ability... It just shows there's nothing else to say about him... He may be unproven as a 'head' coach but his resume thus far is impeccable...
last thing i remember besides the loss to baltimore was us beating the jets to win the AFCE crown. and we had a horrible record the year before. so far the turnaround for parcells in miami has been great. in fact no other team has turned it around that much in NFL history. and if you had pennington sitting there and your other QBs were Henne, McCown & Beck would you have picked him up? his weight has absolutely nothing to do with his coaching ability. his record is impressive but that's as a coordinator not as a head coach. he should come in and preach that kind of message to his team. if he doesn't he doesn't deserve the job in my opinion.
Okay, I won't snidely respond to anything about Miami since you're actually making an effort to be somewhat nice now :P I agree, he has 0 wins as a head coach in the NFL and we're all waiting to see what happens... I just think all the jokes at his expense are a little immature and distasteful... (Similar to me calling Parcells 'saggy ****')
Fatcells earned his with old age and cannoli's, rex ate orphaned children until his flopped out onto the top of his belly..
every single d-coordinator out of B-more for the past decade has succeeded because of that system. oh yeah, and they all went on to flop as a head coach. but congrats on that OTA superbowl!
We'll see if Ryan has a clue how to manage both sides of the ball. I have no doubt he can make that defense more effective, but can he get the offense functioning? Or maybe he thinks you can win a Superbowl with just defense.... because they did it in Baltimore. Anyways, the AFC East and the NFC East are the two best divisions in football.
Your easy 124 if you fell in love with him because of that.. Thats not how i want my coach to talk or represent my team, especially a first timer, when you enter the ranks of coach you show respect to your peers, tell your team behind closed doors one thing, but you show respect, humility, class.. Karma is a mofo..remember that Your mancrushes are now in question, You like big classless fatasses with big disrespectful mouths...Nice coach buddy.
The Baltimore defense has been so good that its been a doorway for future head coaching positions. But, you look at the results and they haven't been that great--Marvin Lewis, Mike Nolan, and we'll have to wait and see about Mike Singletary and Rex Ryan. Between those guys and his dad struggling as a head coach, the track record isn't really great for Rex. However, he's going to make that defense a very good one and they will be a tough team.
Translation: "Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa dont make fun of our loudmouth fat tub of **** Head Coach whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"
~ Guaranteed Super Bowl appearance from Daddy ~ Starting QB with less than a full season's worth of experience ~ Lousy WR corps ~ Lowering himself to get into an "I'd kick your *** if I were younger" argument with a rival's LB. ~ Cocky regardless of never winning ANYTHING Oh yea...gunna be a fun season.
Yeah, he rattles his gums an awful lot, but don't be surprised if he doesn't produce a dominating D sooner rather than later.
A wide eyed, desperate, vulnerable, emotionally abused Jet fan posting this so soon, so prematurely, IS the kiss of death.
