Big Nasty Physical OLineman, do we take a flyer?
-
-
Absolutely no way.
-
No way the guy is a headcase.
-
Too much of a risk as far as the locker room and chemistry goes. After he goes through some intensive therapy, then maybe.
-
I was watching the game on Sunday when he got his second personal foul. Wow was Spags ever ticked off! They pulled him from the game on the spot, and spags was ripping his head off on the sidelines, as was another coach who I suspect was the OL coach. That was after getting his second PF of the game.
I dont think its worth bringing here at all. -
Steven Jackson must be thrilled...
...so are his fantasy owners who are counting on him for a victory this week. :pity: -
obviously not a parcells guy.
this is a parcells guy:

Uhhmm too much of a liability. We all know how much Sparano dislikes penalty yardage. No way he comes here. Maybe the Jets will sign him.
-
Gotta give some respect to Spags here. That's a "No Bull****" philosophy if I've ever seen one.

I don't know that he's better than any of our top three guards right now, plus Berger.

If we were desperate for interior linemen, I'd say sure. But we have plenty of depth at this point, so he's not worth the headache!
But how can this guy be such a dumb bass? I'm all for intensity, but doesn't he realize his very lucrative career is being threatened by his behavior? At some point, doesn't some semblance of logic have to take over? Like, "I probably shouldn't head butt this guy a second time, seeing I was flagged already, and my coach has already voiced his displeasure," etc. etc.
I mean, c'mon man!!!Finfangirl likes this. -
Actually I just thought of this, maybe the Browns will pick him up....

I wonder how much of that guard rotation is Donald Thomas hitting his rookie wall and how much is Smiley's shoulder. Point being, if one of those two got hurt after Grove returns, would it continue....with Berger being inserted into the rotation? I think this is the more likely scenario (compared to him just starting).
Another thought: if they liked the above scenario, would the staff be concerned enough about the prospect of another Carolina game (i.e. losing two centers) that they'd forgo it?RoninFin4 likes this. -
But he does have a long history of this stuff going back to college, where he was kicked off the team. -

thanks for the opinions folks, I watched his head butt the other day and i thought how is this guy still in the league. He is dirtier than rodney harrison. But i still wanted to hear the opinions of everyone.

But I respect the hell out of Turley.
He put his own *** on the line being the first active player to speak out for struggling retired NFL players, and criticizing Gene Upshaw when Upshaw and the union were still being ***** about ANY dissenting voice in their ranks.
Turley not only had the courage to tell it like it was, but the integrity to do what his right.
Then he donated a game check to the retired players and challenged other current players to do the same to acknowledge the current players HAVE their big salaries thanks to the game that was built by former players efforts.
Crazy? sure.
Admirable? Definitely.

I believe Matt Birk also stepped to the plate to voice his opinion that the union's treatment of ex-players was an embarrassing, disgusting fact that needed to be addressed.DolfanCole likes this.
