Rick seems to be making quite a name for himself over these past couple of drafts with his big trades.
I don't recall him being that savvy when he was with Miami.

That's like asking if you'd rather be drowned or burned to death.

Drown for sure. Burn might be the worst way to go. :)
-
Spiel man got extraordinarily lucky, it took no savviness to pull that trade off
-
It is not the first time Speilman swindled some pics to trade up. (Carey)
-
Talks about him making another move with the Jags to trade down to 7. Jags will then take Blackmon at 4.
-
Nevermind. Trade was with Tampa.

That's like saying would you rather have Philbin or Wannstedt!
-
Let me be the first to say.........Mueller.

He was only in control of the draft one year in Miami. Spielman wanted to draft Brees. Wanny overruled him and took Fletcher. Spielman wanted to take Anquan Boldin and even had him on the phone, but Wanny overruled him and took Eddie Moore. Spielman was ready to trade for Hasselbeck but had to clear it with Wanny, who hemmed and hawed until Seattle jumped in and got him.
IMO, Spielman isn't as dumb as a lot of Miami fans make him out to be.
We'd be better off with Aquafin running our drafts than we were with Wanny.Trowa, ChrisKo, finsincebirth and 7 others like this. -
Low blow  Mr. NotSoClean

It doesnt take a genius to get good picks when you are drafting high every year .
At least Speilman uses his high picks on skill postions and offense -
-
Phfffft. We already did the Speilman thing. He recent "draft savyness" was not in his playbook when he was in Miami. No Thanks.

Having a lot of draft picks doesn't help much if the players you draft arent very good.
