The physical is part of the trade. Signing would be to change/extend his contract. So, in essence, he wouldn't have to sign before he works out as he already has a contract. However, these things typically happen at the same time. And since it's already been negotiated from what I understand, there shouldn't be any hold up.

Theres no doubt in my mind that Ronnie and Ricky have to be thrilled by the Marshall signing today. they should see much more running room now that teams actually have to defend against the pass when playing us now.
