Any dolphin fan since 2001 knows what ricky can do and shouldnt be worried. if anything, i feel more confident in our run game now.

the only thing I'm concerned about is if this gives them an excuse to put in Pat White for half a game

I think Ricky can handle the load but I hope Ricky will not be setting up as the Wildcat "QB" and getting the ball snapped directly to him. I don't think Ricky is quick enough to get the direct snaps. I think Sparano will likely have Pat White replace Ronnie when they go into the Wildcat, but maybe try more handoffs to Ricky, or have Pat maybe roll out to throw it a little more. The other option is to just scrap the Wildcat this week (or until Ronnie gets back) and have Henne throwing from a conventional set formation.

Ricky has always been the better back. He still has better breakaway speed and power after all these years.

Ronnie is good but can't really do it on his own and now he is hurt. AGAIN.

Ricky had a couple years away and he keeps his body in good condition. People act like 32 is ancient, and with that time he was away he wasn't getting beaten up for months on the field. Even since he's been back he's had a lighter load. Ricky is an above average RB, one of the best of all time, and I hope we see a big game from him.

2004-didn't play any games. 2005-Missed the first few weeks then played a lighter load behind Ronnie. 2006-Played a little in CFL, but again got lots of rest. 2007-Got hurt in his 1st game back, didn't play any games. 2008-Backup to Ronnie. He's good to go. Run Ricky Run, we'll be seeing 2002/2003 flashbacks on Thursday![hopefully]

As good as RW has been, I don't think he is as effective as the WC trigger man as Brown. This injury hurts us and there's no way I feel more confident in the running game now.

without brown, our offense is limited. Ricky can run extremely well and we all know that. But without brown we lack variety on offense. The panthers will be able to focus solely on ricky and our base offense, cause the wildcat won't be there to present any problems for them. And with our wrs, our base offense doesn't scare anyone. Get ready for the days of old. Ricky in the backfield and 8 guys in the box.

RW doesn't run the WC nearly as well as RB .... i hope we don't run it at all if RB can't play ... although they could run a couple options with PW ...

Cant we just say that we have two studs in the backfield without resorting to this "who is better" bull****"?

Theres nothing quite like the two headed beast in the WC, which unquestionably draws the ire of most any DC, but losing EITHER of our key backs, has always been a possibility, and imo would be negligent to design such a scheme into an offense (particularly one that you've invested a 2nd round pick on), that would cease to function, if such a loss was incurred.

I expect them to alter it to suit the available talent, and still present a paradox to defend.
If it doesn't, or fails miserably, then we have no business running it in the first place, and imo misguided to develop any further.

This may be the game to run a traditional offense to see how Henne and Company can perform.

Pat White is about as scary to opposing defenses as Cleo Lemon, maybe less. He should not get more playing time with Ricky out. Ricky should get 35 touches on Thursday.

Heavy doses of Rick, Along with Lex.

Henne has the breakout game Thursday. Back to the base and fundamental football . We need to find out.

I love me some black demon in some black visor..it will be good to see ricky gettin lower then the defender upon contact...

Like to see henning spread them out a little with multiple receiver sets, and run the ball from some of those formations.

Lmao!! It has absolutely nothing to do with it. Ronnie is starting because he is the starter, not because he's making a few dollars more.

He is the best player on the team!
