What What? He is a legend for what he has done for the NFL and the Oakland Raiders. Not loved by everyone but still a popular person and an owner known by nearly every fan of the NFL. So I guess it should be ok to pay him a little bit respect?!
Younger fans may think of Al as just another owner, but there was a time when he was arguably the most hated owner in the NFL. For me he will be one of the guys who revolutionized the game with his aggressive approach. Some hated him for it, but there's no denying he had an impact.
Just Win Baby.....RIP (only 82....cause its clear he looked much older) AFL merger king!!!!! Wonder what his LW&T says about ownership of Raiders? Does he have kids??
and I thought he died years ago and they've been propping up his dead body to make it look like hes still calling the shots.
He was a charactor for sure,I used to hate the Raiders since the "Sea of hands"game so many years ago but Al did alot for the NFL and for that I am grateful. He will be missed by many but not by the commisioners office.
Supposedly his wife Carol will "own" the team, his son Mark will be running everything. He's a business man though who has no interest in the game part of football, just the business. He won't be "running" the team in a GM football sense. There's also Amy Trask who I presume he'll be leaning on heavily for the "usual" GM duties though she's more the legal person. There's no ready set football mind, so either Hue will get more say, or they'll hire someone.
