A good player and one I thought was a mistake to trade away.

    RIP Freddie.

RIP, always sad to see a former Dolphin player or anybody for that matter die of such an illness.

    the poor house
I thinks this is weird first Whittney Houston , Tommy harris's wife now Freddie .

you know what makes me sick is how many of our wrs we traded away and we replaced them with average wrs case in point, Bess < Welker McKnight < OJ McDuffie only we didnt trade OJ this is why we havent been to the super bowl we rob peter to pay paul meaing instead of getting in better draft picks we trade away all of our better offensive players

He was a great athlete .In some ways he was ahead of his times .He could play QB,halfback,WR and STs in an age where there was little creativity in offenses. In other words he was underutilized.

If he played today he would be a big star .RIP.

My only really game memory of him was, I'm thinking, 1977 vs. San Francisco. He had a MONSTER game. Seems like a punt return for a TD and a couple long TD receptions. I remember everyone was waiting for him to have a "breakout" (haven't we always been waiting on that with someone?). He was traded to SF the next year. He may have played against us in the SB - don't remember.

I saw that game! It was on national TV and I still remember watching it at my mom's friends house. He was superb that game.

I think the only reason I remember anything about the game was I saved an AP writeup on Solomon in that game and pinned it on my Dolphin bulletin board in my bedroom. It stayed on there for years. Actually, it is probably still on the bulletin board put away somewhere in the attic of my childhood home.
