8 yrs seems like a fair amount of time to have learned some of the stuff required to play Wr in the NFL, it is not like he is Usain Bolt and never handled a football before.

Yeah, he showed it last week on his route off the field and back into the end zone.

The kid is real raw and needs a lot of work.

Can he make it? Sure, but my hopes are not to high, but it would be a pleasant surprise if he did, you never know.

8 years plus didn't help Ted Ginn run routes either. Some get it, some don't.

PS Gil Brandt said he does not have great hands in his draft report on him, that is not good for a red zone target. Hopefully he has been working on that.

whats a redzone? is that like where sporano feels carpenters comfort zone is?we have a couple of great redzone targets in marshall, roberto and fasano but if we keep playing for field goals once we hit the 35 they will never see it.

I've read that about his hands but have not seen it from him, if anything his hands have surprised me along with his body control in the air.

They have him fit for the "Z" Wr role, to me I'd like to see him add some weight and play move Te like Shannon Sharpe did in Denver and try to match him up on some Lb's or Safeties.

I also really think Wallace, Mastrud, Cobbs, Hilliard, even Shuler, someone unknown has to step up on offense and make some plays, to me the rhythm on offense is particularly poor from kicking all of the field goals, players come to expect outcomes and so far 13 FG's in 3 games does lead to expectations that inside the 35 yd line, a FG will be kicked.

Someone, anyone, has to step up and break that habit.

I can't figure out for the life of me why there are so many Roberto Wallace threads. Has he made a catch this season?

How can you see he has good hands when the ball has been thrown his way three times?

More like 8 including the preseason, two were not catchable balls, 5 were catches and one was the aborted route out of bounds for a flag/drop in the endzone.

one drop in 8 chances is not bad hands NJ, it about where Beast is.

Imo Ricky should be the starting Running Back, Ronnie B looked better last week but when a defense can close holes so quickly Ricky's lower his shoulder and hit the hole style is more effective than Ronnie B's current hesitate/misread blocks has been.

9 games left, 32 carries per game, 288 carries, not quite the 150 or so imo Ricky Williams could handle so we still need Ronnie Brown but it would be better if he ran well filling those carries.

Never seen a guy go from poor hands to great hands.

He might go from poor hands to average. Meaning we have to live with some easy drops. More than "some" in fact.

Ricky broke down at end of last season due to too many carries, what do you think will happen if he's our starter after being a year older? The key is to use Ricky more in critical situations, i.e, redzone.

there is a bit of hope that i have with wallace. he certainly isnt even remotely dangerous yet but you can see the potential flash here and there. i could see him possibly contributing a little this season but next year is when i'll really start looking at him. its good we have marshall because basically he's a younger rawer version of marshall so hopefully he's a good student. definitely someone to watch next year

Then Ronnie B steps in as the feature back.
