As a Duke fan I am eating it up, but as a Duke fan in the ACC..kinda was hoping the trophy would stay in the ACC, whoever it was.
KU is completely en fuego right now. Chalmers, Rush, and company can't miss. My only concern right now is that they may get lacksidasical, and that some of their bigs are in foul trouble. Still, a great start by the Hawks.
It's weird, but it's almost like the Jayhawks have a bone to pick with this Tarheels team. It's almost as if Roy Williams jilted them a few years back and they are looking for payback. Rush with the stomp on the throat 3, this is rapidly turning into one of the most impressive first 20 minutes of basketball I've seen a team play. Ridiculous hustle from the Jayhawks on both ends of the court.
Yeah, almost a 30 pt lead, and no answer for UNC. desperation mode....no rebounds on either end for them.
they arent an underdog....if you KNEW anything about college basketball you'd know that they're a #1 seed that ended up #3 nationally....admit it, you're just an *** that likes to antagonize people.
well it will soon be way out of reach if UNC does not start doing something soon....unless they have a miraculous comeback in the last 10 minutes, like the jets did to us a couple yrs back.

40-14 Jayhawks ... North Carolina can't buy a bucket. If you had told me 2 hours ago that it would be a nearly 30 point lead for KU at this point in the first half (5 minutes left), I would have thought you were crazy. Give NC credit though, they haven't given up, even though things aren't going their way. Hansbrough has been doing a nice job drawing charges.
Aldrich doesn't have a choice but to play good ... both Jackson and Kaun have 2 fouls, so he has to carry the load. He's doing a good job thus far.
7-0 run....UNC has always been a 2nd half team....if we can get it under 20 by the half i think we still have a chance
But they really need to keep settling down and playing solid bb.....which it seems they are starting to do...maybe there were some stage fright jitters or something to start with.
North Carolina can make a game of it if they get it to under 20 by half, but it's going to be a long way back. Hansbrough has been doing a good job drawing charges on defense, but someone is going to have to step up and get hot for the Heels on the offensive side of things. They're a great team with a great coach, so I won't be counting them out until the scoreboard reads 00:00.
No matter how much I hate a team...never say never....UCLA came back from double digit deficits 6 or 7 times this year, so it is never done till it's done...I have to say that... an example....remember the monday nite miracle the jets pulled on us....everyone thought that game was won and done by us...so be wary about calling it done to early
Dang, that inbounds looked like when Vinny Test. gave that winning int to the other team in the Hurricanes championship years ago.
KU has gotten complacent since getting the big lead. You have to wonder how much of it was emotion that's now worn off. Let's hope Self reignites them in the second half, because it's only a 15 point lead at half. There's still plenty of time left for UNC to come back in this one. KU played well for the first 15 minutes, but the last 5 were all North Carolina.
The problem with Roy Williams is he does not make adjustments, he keeps trying to play his way. You can see it tonight, the man will not make adjustments.
well let's wait and see what adjustments both coaches, if any, make coming out in the 2nd half..game is far from over....and yes that is from a Duke fan.
he should have slowed it down and went into a half court offense, but its not his style. That's my biggest knock on him, he won't adjust.

really, duke and unc fans have an unspoken respect for each other....you have to respect what the other team has done year after year.....it wouldn't be such a good rivalry if they BOTH werent good teams. one of the doctors i work for graduated from duke medical school and the other graduated from wake forest....and here i am a UNC fan. lol
