That organization doesn't make a bit of sense to me. They first come out and say they want to hire a General Manager first. The day after, reports come out that they will hire Eric Mangini. Then, Mangini is working on putting his staff together and when Romeo Crennel is asked about possibly being a defensive coordinator in Cleveland, he says that he doesn't think its the right idea of having him back in the locker room. And now they hire him. And they still don't have a GM.
Yeah...... Discarded Jet Head Coach to work with demoted Browns Head Coach staying with the team in a lesser role and no GM running the circus. I see a turnaround in Cleveland coming real soon.
If Cleveland owner Randy Lerner had a lick of sense he would have done everything possible to hire Tom Heckert first as the GM, then let him have some serious input on the head coach. Lerner must have gotten rich through an inheritance, he sure does not seem like a skilled business man.

does Romeo have kids in school or family in Cleve.? He would have no problem getting a job, so I don't understand staying where you were demoted.. once a Chief, it's tough to be an Brave again.
I thought you couldn't do that....demoting a HC. That is what this is tatamoumt too. I am confused by this as well.
