Draft only finished yesterday. Too early?

Considering a lot of numbers change after training camp, yes, a little too early.

They don't traditionally release them until like OTAs.

    over there
Is Trusnik #93 ? He needs to give that number up and get a LB # (If he's still on the team) next season.

I can see Dion in 93.

Keep in mind Lamar miller was 44 all the way until the season when he switched to 26.

So it's pretty irrelevant even once they are initially announced.

I've seen some college guys of Clemson/SC (Nuk Hopkins, DJ Swearinger) announce theirs so figured some might be out. Obviously some of the mid-to-late will change depending on cuts/whether they make the team. But figured Dion's would get released fairly soon to sell jerseys and all that.

It(and 54 for that matter) aren't retired, and I imagine they'll be issued some time in the future.

I don't think he's quite ready to wrestle Soliai for it.

maybe they should each line up at the goal line, put the jersey at the 50, and let them race for it... fair and square.

Soliai is one of the longest tenured Dolphins and a Pro Bowl participant. House rules of course.

they aren't rookies but it is interesting that at the jersey unveiling that Ellerbe had 59 and Wheeler had 52...the teams website still has Lee Robinson with 52 and Freeny with 59

99 or 54 are not offically retired, but has anyone worn 99 or 54 after Taylor and Thomas left? Thomas more importantly because hes been gone for a while

Why not just share what happened on the court? Soliai doesn't have to cow-tow to some snot nosed kid that he will definitely humiliate come training camp.

Jenkins will change for sure, there always seems to be some linebackers in camp with a number in the 40's but I can't think of any that still have those numbers during the season....didn't Kevin Burnett wear 47 or something in his first camp with us? I know he was always 56 during the season

I thought it would have been cool if Jordan took a number in the 50's.

Guarantee Jenkins changes his number. 43 is an ugly linebacker number.

He'll have to. NFL doesn't allow #40's for LB. Only if all others are taken.
