Some details on the rookies from DolphinsWire:
"While the official start isn’t until July 27 for the Miami Dolphins, their rookies will report to training camp on July 20. Not only did the Dolphins select seven rookies in this year’s draft, but the team also signed 14 rookie free agents shortly after the draft.
Here are the 21 rookies that will report to Davie on Thursday:
Charles Harris, DE
Dolphins selected Charles Harris with their 22nd overall pick in the first round of the draft. Harris will join a defensive end rotation that has Pro Bowler Cameron Wake, Andre Branch and William Hayes. At Missouri, Harris recorded nine sacks and 12 tackles for loss in 2016.
Raekwon McMillan, LB
Raekwon McMillan played middle linebacker at Ohio State, but he will likely play as an outside linebacker with the Dolphins. In his junior season at Ohio State, McMillan racked up 102 tackles, seven tackles for loss and two sacks.
Cordrea Tankersley, CB
Miami is deep at the cornerback position, but the team selected Cordrea Tnakersley in the third round anyway. In his final season at Clemson, Tankersley finished with 52 tackles and four interceptions.
Isaac Asiata, G
The Dolphins have needed help at guard for a few seasons, so they decided to address the need in the fifth round. Although Isaac Asistawas a fifth round choice, he will have a chance to compete for playing time at the guard during training camp.
Davon Godchaux, DT
Behind Ndamukong Suh, the Dolphins have needed depth at defensive tackle position for a while. As a junior at LSU, Davon Godchaux had 62 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks in 2016.
Vincent Taylor, DT
Miami selected defensive tackles with back-to-back selection as they chose Vincent Taylor out of Oklahoma State in the sixth round. In his last year for the Cowboys, Taylor recorded 51 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
Isaiah Ford, WR
At Virginia Tech, Isaiah Ford posted back-to-back 1,000 yard receiving seasons. Despite being a seventh-round pick, Ford has a good chance to make the Dolphins final roster. Last month, Draft Wire named Ford as the biggest steal of the 2017 NFL Draft at the wide receiver position.

I think the first three picks have to start/play a lot. Charles Harris is a DE and in the div with the Pats, you can't have enough of those. Same thing for Tank. Rae is a desperate upgrade to a unit that needed it

There are more in the know on the rookies than me. But obviously, you'd like to see the top four picks contributing week one and their time the rotations grow each week. They should all be starters this time next year. As far as the undrafted players go, Morgan has had a lot of good press. Here's when they get to prove it.
I LOVE that Harris reached out out to JT to have him train and mold him in both gym and tape room. It demonstrated his desire to be great and should pay immense dividends. It still boggles me that no DE had ever asked JT to mentor them before but I guess when you get to be an NFL player there's a heaping helping of ego. -

So because the secondary was solid last year, and you add back Jones, X in his second year, Nate Allen and TJ Mac, we aren't deeper?Redwine4all likes this. -

The Dolphins have had missed tackle issues for the last few years. It's been one of the most frustrating things. I find it one of the most difficult things to explain. There are so many instances where guys get there and then just bounce off, or miss. Scheme? Talent? Mentality?
