and doesn't want him to leave: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/dolphins/home.htm along with a few more interesting tidbits.
I'm the last guy to bash the media, but where on earth did Peter King get that, "Bill Parcells is not Ross's cup of tea" quote? He stated it very offhandedly and should have gotten more sources or not report it at all. I found this part of the article very reassuring: Parcells has made it clear from the start that this was to be his last stop and the final piece to his legacy, so for him to leave Sparano, Ireland and good friend/offensive coordinator Dan Henning after just one season with plenty of work still to be done doesn't make sense. "What we did when we came here, we found out guys who loved football, and we really found out about this team really early on is that they love football," Ireland said. "They wanted to take ownership. The cast is a great cast. These guys are football players, and the coaches did a helluva job putting them in position to achieve success. That's why Tony Sparano is the Coach of the Year in my opinion."
yeah, it was changed from 'ross calls parcells the greatest' to 'Ross Calls Parcells the Greatest'. WTF over? if someone is going to 'correct' my style of typing, at least don't capitalize 'calls'.
I especially liked the piece at the end regarding abolishing the Coach of the Year if Tony doesn't win it.
