Which given our luck translates to:
"I'll look at everything. It'll take some time to evaluate and make the right decision. By that point, everyone wanting to do so will have fired their coaches already, and completed interviews before we even get started, which means we will get a second rate GM/Coach again for our fans: -
He damn well better.

He's already taken too long. Fire them all, nuke it from orbit, just to be sure.

Ross needs to befriend Mark Cuban so he can learn how to grow a pair. Ross, you're a billionaire. Stop caring what ESPN thinks and be bold. Fire these clowns already.
-
Ross should be forced to sell the team. He is just as incapable and incompetent as the buffoons he hired, and the Dolphins will continue to suffer as long as he continues as owner.

Thats about as idiotic as saying..I want to bring back Marino out of retirement to be our QB next year.Larryfinfan, cdz12250, Bumrush and 2 others like this. -
Stephen Ross doesn't care about the Dolphins. Idk why anyone would think otherwise. Ireland will likely get another secret extension before he's fired. Nothing will happen to him or the coaches.

As to the GM: From the lack of talent evaluation in the draft, the failure to resign veterans who wanted to be here and play for us, the removal of the leadership of this team from last year to this year and failing to address the biggest weakness on the team (OL) in the offseason he has to be gone.
As to the coach: For allowing the Martin fiasco to fester and develop into the huge distraction that it became (especially from a former OL coach), being apart of moving the leadership of the team out the door and failing to prepare your team in the final two games when if you win and you are in against two sub 500 teams who you know inside and out he has to be gone.
Unified is right, blow it up now and get a GM in here who knows what he is doing.PhinsRock likes this. -

The decision on the GM was made weeks ago, despite what Armando may try and convince you of. Jeff will not be the GM of the Dolphins in 2014.
The decision that Ross needs to make is whether he wants to rearrange the chairs and get a new coach along with a new GM.Canad-phin, PhinsRock, MonstBlitz and 1 other person like this. -
Marino coming out of retirement is ludicrous . -

you've been looking for 17 weeks!!!! you should have your gameplan in hand!

If anything, I hope Ross learned from 2011. Don't use half-measures, either clean house or don't.

Ireland and Sherman must go, Philbin should probably go as well. The OLC definitely must go. All JMVHO

"We're going to look at everything" - Yay!!! That means he is going to look into selling the team! One could dream!

I think Ross really bought into Parcells and his nonsense. Maybe its dawning on him that he just helped to fund Parcels fishing/golfing/retirement plans and that he really didn't do anything to help this organization win. I think he bought into Ireland on the advice of Parcells, much like we bought into Wannestadt on the advice of JJ and both were just terrible decisions that set the franchise back the better part of a decade. Hopefully he can see the error of his ways with the entire Parcells mess and moves on.

Maybe Ireland is gone. Philbin will probably follow the year after. Sherman being gone will help some but not enough.
-
Can anyone explain why we wife swapped with the ****ing San Diego Padres of the MLB too? Wtf are you doing Ross???
-
You think? The Dolphins just had their 5th straight non-winning season, the worst streak in the entire history of the franchise. They fell to 3rd place. Got swept by Buffalo. We're going to watch the 8-8 Steelers make the playoffs in a year when the AFC is terrible, and the Dolphins STILL couldn't find a way to make the playoffs. Yes, 8-8 is getting into the playoffs right now as the Chargers currently choke as hard as we did, and we still don't get to watch the Dolphins in the fun.
I've watched them in the playoffs once since I was in Middle School, and each year it becomes increasingly likely I won't see them in the playoffs again before I'm 30. Forgetting about actually winning in the playoffs...who knows when that'll happen. This organization is a disaster right now...hopefully someone comes in here and changes it. We'll see. -
Wow I am shocked Chud will be fired already..
-
nothing will change. same ole bulshyt.
-
I'm skeptical it happens, but he needs to clean house. Keeping Philbin would be an incredibly poor decision.

Watching Gb / Chi ... history for sure , but Marshall is a factor yet again and we got what and better how by this move? Of course the flags raised then were brushed aside because talent and coaching shouldn't get a player right.

Lots and lots of reasons , but number one for me is he will never be the GM that leads us to the SB and lead us to more mediocrity ( at best ) than real success imo .
