Uhm, yeah..still waiting on that one... FA signings on a Saturday? I imagine Grimes agent is trying his level best to play us vs the Brownies and Falcons atm. I'd almost bet like Keller he is being offered a 1 yr deal with starting playing time
Winfield's surprisingly continued to play at a high level... nothing more than a stop gap, but not a bad one.
According to Keller, it was his desire to get a 1 year deal. It seems like many of these guys are taking 1 year deals because the market has been so weak this year and the hope is they prove themselves and get more next year. That could be what happens with Grimes.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 1m Former Falcons CB Brent Grimes reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins. Best remaining CB off the board. YES!!
huge. Now address ol or de with one more ufa move. And then draft board time. Its all coming together.
Grimes in FA Trufant with 2a (Could he fall into the 2nd?) Poyer in 3rd Honey Badger in 4th. Release the rest of our corners and we'd have big money left to spend.
Yeah, well La Canfora (like Mando) is rather known for throwing sh!! against the wall to see what slides down and then wanting to take credit for it...
If he did drop to 2a I think it would be quite a coup..I have him as legit first round talent..would run up to podium.
Deej...I really like what I've seen of Hayden, despite the injury...Does that kid move up into the 2nd round area ??
Goodness that's a tough question, it was such a serious injury, if it was based on talent, absolutely, really good prospect, fast, incredible foot quickness, exciting charisma, aggressive nature, swagger for days, if it was based on character and intangibles?, well, his recovery from a such a severe injury where over 50 percent of the people who sustain it, die, tells me a lot..He wants this so bad, and worked hard as hell to recover from it. From the research I've done on him and the injury that happened, because he sustained it once doesn't make it more likely to happen again, so that's the good news, but he hasn't played football since it, and that's where it gets rather dicey, will his nature change, due to subconsciously trying to protect himself, will fear and being conscious of the injury make him less aggressive in the run game? I think those are legit concerns, back to the good news, the injury isn't a knee or a shoulder, or something that could limit his athleticism ya know.. He's still strengthening himself, ran a 4.4 flat at his proday, however declined bench press because of the sternum and the trauma that part of his body took when IVC injury happened. So lets see, His talent can't be denied, apparently the injury has no risk of a heighted chance of reoccurrence, there's a chance that he will miss OTA's, but probably a good chance that he will be ready for training camp, trying to take all things into account, I'll say he projects 3rd round..but really has first round ability. Jftr though, after Trufant, I like his skillset better than Poyer. . Edit.. Ck has mentioned in the draft forum that he believes DJ will be ready for OTA's, he originally showed me the kids talent months ago for which I agreed with, so maybe he heard something on the readiness of the player.
Thanks...I just like what I've seen of him in clips...I don't do game film or that type of work on the draft...but what I did see was better than SS and VD by a ways...
He's really fun to watch right?...I gave him the nickname hummingbird for how fluttery quick his back pedal is.
