Please be true. FO4 was hot garbage.

While I disagree that FO4 was hot garbage... I didn't love it the way I loved FO3 and New Vegas. I'm also one of the weird people that preferred New Vegas over FO3. So I would very much like this.

Preferring New Vegas over FO3 is a sign of distinguished taste and preferences, good sir. Also because New Vegas did not have the massive black holes that constituted FO3's plot and world design.
FO4 was too simplified and too sterile for me. The plot was not engaging to me, the character growth didn't do anything for me, and I really didn't enjoy the setting. It felt like a Fallout clone, not a Fallout sequel. FO4's engine advances were very welcome, though, and FONV and FO3 feel like cavemen games by comparison.mor911 likes this. -

Fallout 4 was my first, and only, experience with the franchise. While I wouldn't say that it was upset that I put the time and money into the game that I did, I also wouldn't say that I'm eager to play another one either. I'll keep an eye on any games that might be better/deeper though. I don't like to completely disregard something before I see it up close.

Play FONV as soon as you can. Or Fallout 3. FO3 is made by the same team as FO4, and while it has many of the failures, it also is an overall better game. FONV is the best first person Fallout game, though. -
Kind of amazing how similar FO3 and 4 was. Pacing, story beats, basic overall goal.
