I couldn't care less what JT wants, that is a job for the GM and Coach.

Hmmm, where did he say that? I feel like if that was said it would be a big deal, especially on these boards.

Yeah well, JT's not the GM or the HC and Dorsey at this point doesn't make any sense to me....to me it'd be better if we took Long, then Okam at 32 if he's there and then a corner.....that'd set this defence up....then you just look for big LB's.

    Ozzy rules!!

Why not Doresy though? He'd be a great lineman to have, especially since our D-line give it up to running backs more than a stereotypical cheerleader.

Because he raises the question of where we would play him not to mention we would also have the issue of what to do at DE and NT. Roth isn't doing so well, no depth at DE, and we have basically no one at NT. Dorsey will have to compete with Wright and Vonnie, plus even if he beats them out what do we do with them (plus we have so much money tied up in Vonnie and to give Dorsey #1 pick money)? I dunno, I see him as a tough fit here that we would be passing up quite a bit to acquire, but if he really is the BPA then go for it.

wait a second, JT said that in a recent exclusive interview with whom exactly?

as far as I can tell, this is a personal blog site run by three fans. I'm not saying it's not credible, but I'm having a hard time accepting this at face value

for whatever it's worth, I think Dorsey is the BPA of the draft when 100% healthy (of course this is subject to change depending on his Bowl game)

Remember how Calvin Johnson was one of the best WR prospects of the last decade last year? I think that's like Dorsey for DTs this time around.

Yea, cant blame him think of the fits that combo would give OL's, but fact is we are in the same division of the NFL version of the "spread" offense so all the db's we can get would be best IMO..So TRADE DOWN!

Because Dorsey's not a NT for a 3-4 and he's not a DE either...his best position is DT in a real 4-3 defence and you don't take a guy at 1 and then have him play a position that is not his best.

    Ozzy rules!!

We really don't know yet who Parcells wants, perhaps he doesn't either, but IMO we can't go wrong with Dorsey, Long or Gholston. All three are going to be fine NFL players barring injury.
I don't have a problem with JT, or any player, when asked at this point, who would you like to see your team draft, give an honest answer. It's just his opinion, same as any of us.

I have a problem with JT saying it [if indeed he did say it because the veracity of the quote isn't established] because of the comments he made last year about scrambled eggs and Daunte Culpepper. It makes it seem that JT is playing the primadonna. All I want to see this off season is everybody in the boat rowing in the same direction, in which case I'd much rather see players getting quoted as saying "Whomever the big tuna picks will be fine by me" than expressing opinions that might indicate that locker room revolution is a permanent state of affairs in dolphintown.

A WR would want a great QB...a RB would want a great Lineman...a pass rushing defensive end wants a great DT playing next to him to eat up blockers...

That's our JT, always the team leader as long as the team revolves around him.

Can you blame him for wanting Dorsey? If JT is playing for the Fins next season, why wouldn't he want to play next to a disruptive force like Dorsey? He'd command double teams and free JT up more. Still, JT's opinion means squat. He wanted Quinn last year and look how that turned out.

Who cares what JT wants? Miami will pick the player that they feel will best help the team.

Why can't he make a comment, IF in fact, he did? The press and anyone else that wants to does, so why is JT wrong to say anything?

JT sure does love to give his $0.02, lately. I think JT is losing his mind from being on so many bad dolphins football teams.

In the end, I don't think it will matter because JT will be playing elsewhere. Let the youth movement begin!

I also view it as a reason not to sink $60M into a 3-4 DE at #1 overall...but that's just me.

In that case, JT should stop obstructing the rebuilding that would end the years of bad Dolphins teams.

Dorsey can indeed play 3-4 NT, and he plays DE regularly at LSU. Watch games and you'll see that they shuffle Dorsey around the line depending on the play and situation. He'd be great here in Miami, but I don't think we'll take him because he doesn't fit the Parcells draft mold. Chris Long does.

Felix Jones is returning to Arkansas next season. He said this in an on TV interview before the Cotton Bowl. I have confirmed this when I talked to him on the fourth (I go to Arkansas and actually know the dude).
