There's no truth to it. Melo will not agree to an extension there. He has expressed no desire to play in Newark for two years.

if harris and lopez are both allowed to stay then i could see this. still think carmelo would prefer the knicks but if the money is right he only needs to wait two years to play in brooklyn and that threesome is powerful

The money cannot be right anywhere unless he agrees to a sign and trade. Denver wants the Nets deal apparently and will try to push him there.
