**BREAKING JETS NEWS** Darelle Revis has a grade 2 Hamstring Tear he will be gone for at least 3-5 weeks. This is not good news but expected http://twitter.com/incarceratedbob
Brandon Marshall vs Cromartie? I'll take that match up any day. Lets go Dolphins! And Brian Hartline vs Kyle Wilson? 3-0
So if we win..."Wahhh you beat us without Revis and Holmes." If we lose...we look like idiots. Whatever, the Jets beat the Pats without Revis [they were losing when he came out], so it wouldn't be much of an excuse anyway. If he does play, we should throw on him. He's hurting and missing training camp is probably the reason. Marshall is physical and can beat him.
I don't know. Cromartie did a good job shutting down Moss yesterday after Revis left. Shall be interesting, especially because everyone thought he was faking it.
Look...I know that we have a better chance to win without Revis. I was really really wanting to see B. Marsh just own him though. Oh well I guess thats why we play them twice.
Marshall was 7 of 9 for 72 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT and 0 PDs against Cromartie in 2008 and 2009. I wonder if they'd move him all around the field like Revis, or if they'd let Kyle Wilson go up against Brandon Marshall in the slot.
I am pretty comfortable with the team if Revis - Bevis is playing or not. At the risk of getting overconfident I think we'll win regardless.
Same guy that claimed Adalius Thomas had a deal done with NYJ and would sign by last Thursday. I won't be surprised if Revis misses time. That hammy was already acting up. But the MRI isn't until Monday. And Revis himself said it wasn't torn, but we'll see.
I thought I saw him walking into the hall, can you walk w/ a torn hammy. Either way their D-fense is a formidable opponent w/ or w/ out revis. The question is can the Sancheese play that well against our Defense because i think our secondary is better than the pats. Maybe this will be our first high scoring game.
Cromartie struggles with physical WRs and RBs. Moss wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight. Marshall is another story.
Cromartie's struggles against Marshall are well documented. They have to exploit that and the other match-ups against the Jets lesser CBs. If you go three-wide and force their SOLB off of the field in the nickel you've gained a major advantage. A front four of Taylor, Devito, Pouha, and Ellis can be controlled as far as attacking through the air. The Pats may have sucked today but they honestly went deep too often. Just force that piece of **** pass rush to cover short.
