    Linebacker released by the Jags.. Anybody know about him? Seeing as our LB coach was the Jags LB coach last year, do you think we should pick him up? Should come cheap

    As long as we don't care about coverage, then yes. The fact that we went after Jackson when he got cut leads me to believe otherwise.

    D'Qwell Jackson is, as far as I know, a fairly good linebacker in coverage. Allen, as far as I know, is not.

    Ellerbe isn't bad in short zone coverages. I thought Jackson was being pursued to shore up the leaky inside run defense. Not that I'd agree he was the ideal choice for that role.

    Allen would be better suited than Jackson if run defense is the goal.
