Omar has been talking about how Ryan needed "kills".
Well, we are seeing a killer on the field evolve before our very eyes. The drive before the half and the drive to score the winning touchdown......this guy is just having moments where he is filthy good.

He has killed so many times this season he is a serial killer. The defense usually uses some black magic to revive our opponents. Good to see them just barely hold these last two.

I have more confidence as a fan, in tannehill than I've had in any qb for the dolphins in a long long while. God this feeling is nice to have again.

Think about this.
Ryan had just taken a sack on that final drive, and it is 3rd and 17. Early in the year, there's no way we convert. Ryan completes a 12 yard pass to set up 4th and 5, and Joe "The Gambler" Philbin goes for it. Not only do they go for it, but they call a quick play to get the ball to Charles Clay. They convert! First down.
Ryan later throws a TD pass on the drive. Ball Game!!!Mile High Fin, maynard, Frumundah Finnatic and 3 others like this. -
That's one for sure.....he owns that one...and can add to it going forward. So many seminal moments.

The 14 yard TD pass to Thigpen was with pressure in his face he put it where it needed to be without vision, is simply awsome talent. He was laser sharp today.

Is there a way to get Tannehill's rating in close and late? Advanced stats like Hockey has?

And even though I threw something when he missed the bomb, he made a lot of quality throws that game. -
If I could nitpick just a bit, when we talk about kills one thing Tannehill and this team need to do a better job of is putting teams away. The 4th quarter game winning drives are great. But they are never needed if Miami just could string together TD drives when they already have a lead. They haven't done it all season that I can remember except for maybe the Jets game. This team needs to finish their opponent off. These wins against Pittsburgh and New England were 2 of the greatest back to back games I've ever watched as a Dolphins fan. But a couple inches in either game (Brown doesn't step out of bounds or Clay gets tackled) and these could have been 2 of the most heartbreaking. I'd love to see this team get a lead and go for the jugular. Let's hope it stats in Buffalo this weekend. I'll be there.

It won't include this week's numbers yet, but if you use this link (http://pfref.com/tiny/aMbCZ), you can find that in the 4th quarter with 5 minutes or less to go, when down 7 to up 7, Tannehill has a 75 passer rating and a 52.8% completion rate. Both of those are about middle in the league. But again it doesn't include this week's numbers which should increase it. -

i just hope tannehill starts getting the recognition he deserves after this game.

He played well today but I'm still not completely sold on him. Thr biggest reason is that he plays up and down so much. He's inconsistent.
I won't go into details but to say someone that still has their doubts on the guy is an idiot is well an idiot...
I would love nothing more than Tannehill being phenomenal. -
Tannehill had a great day overall, but he's still leaving a lot of points on the field by missing deep throws. If the two to Hartline and two to Wallace were completed, then we go from competitive to dominant. If Tannehill feels the pressure and bails out of the pocket a few more times, the same thing happens...we extend drives and it's not a nail-biter. He's playing really well, don't get me wrong, but it's not good enough to beat a team like Denver or Seattle that's going to throw up 50 points on almost any defense.
I love the way Tannehill has grown over the past month but at the same time we have to be realistic; he's only 80% where this team needs him to be. Now granted, when he's fully there then we're going to be talking about an elite leader for the next decade, but he still has some glaring problems that will be exploited in the playoffs. It's definitely a huge improvement over week one though, so my hat is off to him.
