Do you think its the end of the Tannehill era in Miami, barring a much worse diagnosis on his knee? Do you see just a slight drop off from Tannehill to Moore? or as some have suggested just as good or better?
it's a major drop off. like when the cards went from carson palmer to drew Staunton. it's a season ceiling changer. regardless of what happens these next 3 weeks at this point forward 2016 is window dressing.
tannehill will be back in 2017 barring career ender type mri results. they will pick up that option by the 5th day of the new league year when it comes due. bank on it

there's gonna be less freedom at the los for the qb
less ability to check out and audible more whatever gase calls we go with cause gase isn't gonna trust matt moore enough to do it any other way
nor should he
about the only real freedom I expect is the run pass option stuff where the qb counts the box
zone read more hand it off to the back regardless. less move the pocket work more stress on the o line in the run game given no threat at the qb position to run the ball with. teams could care less about matt moore keeping it on the zone read
if you put the game in matt moores hands to win it with solid reads and decision making you are going to lose. and he has scattershot underneath accuracy to boot in addition to takes bad sacks at bad times and throws the ball into coverage
better hope you can rely on the run game and play action
RT very rarely audibles I don't think gase trusted RT fully which is why there were so many play actions and short quick passes. He does throw the ball into coverage a little to much for my liking, but RT takes horrible sacks and his accuracy isn't the greatest all the time deep or short. I don't see that much of a fall off between moore and RT. Except for the fact that RT has had 6 months with the starters and Moore is going to have a week that's were the major fall off starts, gauging someone's speed like stills only comes from reputation in practice, I just hope they can figure it out sooner rather than later.
I hope moore can get in rhythm quick, the jets game should help him but we need to feed ajayi, and what I think will happen is jets and buffalo will stack the box to stop ajayi so moore needs to get in sync w landy parker and stills quick.

Watch the O look different with Moore at the helm, less dink and dunk play, more attacking downfield.
I think the RT era in Miami is over, based on what Gase has been saying, I think he's come to the conclusion that RT isn't the answer, I don't think RT was able to run his O the way he wants.
The way to see if this is true is to see how the O goes from here on out, if the O all of a sudden seems to expand in the next couple games, then you won't see RT in a Dolphins uni again.
How can you possibly come to that conclusion, at all?

For the exact same reasons he thinks Suh isn't an elite dt, he's an idiot and likes to stir up s***. Simple as that.

Gase has been scaling back the plays, he said it again this week that he was going to further scale down the plays, and that he was going to rely on Ajayi a lot, and not let up on running, and he even said run more than usual.
Reading between the lines, this is not trusting the QB, this is the way to take away the QB's impact, not a thing traditionally seen with franchise QBs.
So if the O starts to expand in the next couple weeks, that will tell me my theory is true.
Sowhat about 3rd and medium (5-7 yards) and Gase dials up deep throws from RT? How is that scaling back things for him? Gase is just calling his offense.

work more vertical concepts with matt moore. he can't throw it in the ocean underneath. if you make him go away from his primary and work thru progressions he will throw the ball into coverage
this is an easy qb to exploit if you can stop the run. very easy. needs to be able to rely on play action and simple route concepts and reads. doesn't read leverage or coverage at tannehills level. also doesn't look off coverage like tanny which means more guys jumping routes and balls. something that pretty much never happens with tannehill cause he has such solid eye discipline in his drops etc and holds safeties. matt moore will be looking at his intentions in his drops even. you want to get away with it you better do it off pa so they can't set him up with bait looks

LOL. I'm not even going to bother with all the other nonsense in this post, but you are aware that Tannehill is top 10 in both YPA and air yards, right? The deep game has not only been there, but it's been stellar.
That conclusion is come to by ignoring the things Gase has said, like Tannehill and the playcalling being handcuffed by other offensive players not knowing the offense, and instead, "reading between the lines."
"Reading between the lines" = twisting reality to fit a preconceived notion. Anyone who truly believes Gase is going to expand the playbook with Moore is taking crazy pills.
also take away a lot of the coverage reads that moore has to make pre snap by using motion. he's not gonna be checking out much anyways under gase at the los so make the reads easier for him pre snap by using motion to limit his misreads from pre set looks
yes it's gonna limit what you can do but again do not put the game in this qbs hands decision making wise
play action and motion which id's man vs zone

Come on Res, we all know the good stuff he says about Tannehill is just Coach speak. The stuff he said about the offense is not!... not only is that stuff true, but we have to twist and spin it towards the QB negatively.. Crazy pills is right.

Matt Moore makes Ryan Fitzpatrick look like Tom Brady. God help us all.
Headcoach material wouldn’t want to work somewhere they’re not trusted with actual football decisions.

Although it's easy to react this way to some of these posts, Moore is a solid back up who should be ok. I don't want to slam him because of the silliness of some on here.

The only thing im gunna wait for is to see if this team can rally and play past their injuries to carry Moore to victory. not the other way around.

It seems so many people are hoping that Matt Moore does bad just so they can say tannehill is better. It's a shame. Tannehill is better, but Moore has some really good qualities that can win us some games.
You have it so backwards its comical. if this team somehow carries moore and drags ass to the post season all we will be reading is how much Moore is better than Tannehill because 'moore got us to the playoffs' , nevermind tannehills season.
I want the fins to win first and foremost. but im not too delusional to know that moore is a downgrade in all aspects and we have a long road ahead of us.

it's really depressing
the last 20 years this has been probably the one Miami dolphins team to get excited about and at 8-5 we lose our qb for the season and possibly into 2017 in the process
the football gods don't like us

RT will be starting under center for us even if moore wins a superbowl. let's bet? loser leaves the site for good?

Yes, technically it's a game winning drive, not a comeback.
Either way though, he came in off the bench and scored when we needed it to secure a victory.
When did he score?

I saw his press conference this past week, your conclusions are off base, IMO.
He said he should have been more aggressive in the Ravens game and that he should have relied more on Ajayi, nothing else you are saying came from his mouth.

Don't even bother. You would be better off pissing into the wind. Just keep rooting like a good fan does, no matter who is at QB. I'm even ashamed at myself thinking this kind of silliness wouldn't pop up this morning, even by the select few.. wow, I was completely wrong.

Defenses are going to bring the house to stop Ajayi and force Moore to beat them. They tried that with RT, and he carved some good defenses up....time to see if Moore can do the same.

Yep. I hate this fanbase.
Either way itd be the easiest bet of my life. barring a major injury related setback (knock on wood) there is nothing Moore could do to take RTs job or make them move on from him.
