He's always been like that...he'll get leveled and then pop right back up. Lots of folks here can't stand RT, but not a single one of them can say that he's not as tough as they come. That kid knows how to take a whoopin'!

It was a big win for Tennessee they won the division, wich means they get to host a home playoff game.

Ravens and Bills have been the hottest teams as of late, this wont be easy for Tennessee but I think we match pretty good against Baltimore. Its going to be a fun game. Ugh, I hate the Ratbirds!

Outside of divisional rivals the Ravens are my least favorite team. I am rooting for Tannehill to make a Super Bowl run. Good Luck.

I really hope they can take out the ****birds again...but they don't have Pees anymore and that defense is not ready for primetime. Gonna be a tough one.

On a side note: Can Corey Davis drop any more passes?

Hes had a really good year and could of got 1K this year if it wasnt for that big drop.

Contract year too. Its safe to say Tannehill made both Brown ane Davis 1K recievers, to where as Mariota couldnt. Big difference having a QB that can throw the ball with effiecency.

Ryan Tannehill would've been proficient deep into the 2020 post-season as a Miami Dolphin.

I didn’t want to say it but if we still had Tannehill, we would be in the playoffs and a record of at least 12-4, maybe even 13-3

Tough to say what he’d do here without the best running back and running game in the nfl, one of the better receiving duos and a very good OL. I’m not sure our offense is much better than when he was here. Our OL is probably slightly better but still not good and we’re fielding practice squad receivers.

I get what you’re saying but I don’t think anyone would argue that Tagovailoa nor Fitzpatrick are better and more accurate passers than Tannehill. And of course I’m using his pre-Titans tenure as the matrix.

Any honest person here would acknowledge that Tannehill’s biggest hurdle here in Miami was a offensive line that was so horrible he had pressure within 1 second of the ball being snapped. When he actually had time to drop back, set and throw, he made some great throws.

Can't believe this is still a thread? Let me help put it to rest... Tannehole sucks. And yes I am exagerat9jg; However, he mostly sucked in Miami. Better in Tenn with a good supporting cast (and OL, and top RB) I imagine anybody could be avg or even look good with it,

Here ya go... Tannehole = Flacco, without the ring, more robotic and less accurate.

But bottom line, whether you're a Temmehole fan or not he is niot nor has he been a Miami Dolphin for a few years now.

Normally I would consider this like a troll thread... shoulda been closed a long time ago. I can honestly say I;m less of a fan of this site every time I see this thread.

This is Miami Dolphins chat, not ex-Fin. Admiin./Mods i'm gonna be honest; I think you've dropped the ball here.

This thread should have been closed a year ago. :dots:

Was Tannehill our QB in 2020? I must be living in the future, see yall when you get here.

I sent "The Guy" a message of support cause all I see are a bunch of fanboys. The only thing worse than a homer is a fan boy.

Posting all your fancy Titans stats means nothing you understand right fan boys. The Dolphins FO can't build an OL to save it's life, never mind us not having a true elite RB in years! What was going to happen? Keep Tannehill, he'd still be behind this sub par OL, and no RB.. And he'dstill be sucking for Miami.

It's one thing o be a Tannehill fan... It's another thing to confuse Dolphins chat, with Tannehill fanboy chat.

Please check if "The Guy" is still with us.

Seems a bit weird to still be blaming Tannehill for the Dolphins front office inability to build an OL. BTW, they were better this year.

I'm sorry you're still stinging from Tannehill leading the Titans into the playoffs, again. You seem to have a lot of emotional energy invested in Tannehill being a poor QB. You'll just have to get over being wrong.

One more piece of advice, if a thread doesn't interest you, don't participate in it. Simple. The title is obvious, right?

Well according to PFF, several of them are rated in the top 10-15 of their position. He had pocket awareness issues in Miami so maybe it’s carried over.

Bull****. I dont care what PFF rated. Their pass pro has been garbage.

They have a 3rd tier at the LT position. A journeyman RT in Dennis Kelly.

Saffold is their best OL and he has been banged up all year.

Lewan has been out since week 6.

Excuse me, you did not explain why it is dishonest? I can only think of one reason for that :/

Explain to me how keeping Tannehill would have made our situation any better right now?

Do you honestly think Tannehill can play better than Fitzmagic with this W-E-A-K *** offense including the OL! Including the RB! (Not spitting venom at Gaskin, he was servicable and i'm proud of his performance mostly this year, but we all know he's not a back that's ever going to get you 1000+ yds and 10+ rushing TDs. Just no...

The Titans are better now than we have been in a long time, including Tannehill's entire tenure with the Fins. The Dolphins suck, accept it.

The only good thing we have going for us iis Brian Flores, although his decision to bench Fitz was the wrong move.. other than that, I think he's got this team playing well above their skill level. This is not a 10-6 teem on paper, especially with the schedule we faced... but yet we did win 10 Games.

All I can say is FLORES better have TOTAL say to overrtide draft picks, and even make them himself by way of ordering the GM.

It's time to put thiis team in the hands of FLORES, then maybe a QB will actually have some real Pro-Bowl caliber success. I'm more impressed with him than 99% of the players on the team .FTR, this is what real Dolfan talk. Tanne can lick my butthole aight fan boys?

You claimed Tannehill was inaccurate. Total BS. He is one of the most accurate QBs in the league while throwing more difficult passes than most. This is backed up by STATS.

He is a better QB than anyone on the Dolphins roster (right now). He is far, far better than Fitz could ever hope to be. Hopefully Tua will be the best of the bunch. Hell, I hope he becomes the best in the history of the league.

    YES.

Jesus Christ, the Fitz hyperbole is over the top. He has a passer rating of 89 with the Fins. That is two points higher than Tannehill's with the Fins. Tannehill did that on far worse teams and his numbers include his first two years when he was learning the game and the team was a complete mess. If you look at 2014 - 2018, Tannehill's play was far better than Fitzpatrick's.

What you fail to recognize is that the Titans are better in large part BECAUSE OF TANNEHILL.

Secondly, 10-6 doesn't suck. They've got plenty of room for improvement and (IMO) that help is coming.

How is this possible if the Dolphins SUCK? You are making no sense.

    LOL

Because he barely threw beyond 10-15 yards in Miami. Not cause the plays weren't dialed up, because he can't (or couldn't) hit a deep ball to save... The Dolphins. Blame the OL, HC, GM, whatever you like. This thread only serves one purpose, to appease Tannehole fan boys. But then again, why do Tannehill fan boys exist here when he didn't do **** for us, and MAY win a ring with another team... That doesn't make me a fan, that makes me dislike him.

But then you guys want to blame Miami right? Ten builds better, Miami can't build efficiently. Go join a Tennesee Titans forum. I'm pretty sure.. for you Tannehole fan boys, it's your new team. And I strongly suggest you make it permanent and leave this place to Dolphins fans, the lot of ya. Quality over quantity.

Delusional. Fitz would spank Tanne harder than he did Tua playing with MIAMI's current offense. You fan boys keep using Titans Tannehill to defend your position (which is nonsensical on the face of it, to even have this discussion) With that said, bring me some Tannehill Miami stats, Miss Cleo, and her peons. But, even Miss Cleo didn't foretell the Dolphins would have a supporting cast like Tennessee; Just yet another reason why this old ***, never die thread, doesn't make any sense. Any Dolfan coming here would likely be turned away from it and the abuse from the detractors, but see, I'm Kud from FH. I don't play yall's bull****, and I avoided calling you all out because ... well out of respect for the site. There are a handful of members I do like to read from. But.. I'm not gonna go back and check the date, I've been quietly irritated by this thread for at least a year every time I login, the thread title alone taunts me. Go Dolphins F*** Tannehill. I may be a miserable Dolfan, because the team is miserable, sorry for being too real for ya, but if ya want to be a Dolphins fan you better accept the pain... Otherwise go screw off to Tennessee. Become a Titan like Key Fin.

I am not on Fitz's jock like you guys are on Tannehill. But I am proud of what he's done in Miami as a journeyman QB.

I wish we could simulate such a thing. I'd bet you big money Fitzpatick would play a better game with this current Miami team (and yes lets say hypothetically he knows the current offensive scheme *which is really bad*) Fitz can be successful in any circumstance, he obv wont be every time, but given a bum team I'll take that VET, over YOUR VET, who didn't do **** for Miami, and Tannehill had a better Miami team a lot of those years than we do now! LOL! Fitzmagiic owns Tannehill, if you're purely putting them in a "you have to carry this offense" situation. Sip Sip Slurp Slurp that Tennessee Kool-aid boy. Time to go out and get some baby blue and navy.

[quote[What you fail to recognize is that the Titans are better in large part BECAUSE OF TANNEHILL.[/quote]

Actually I don't I'm fully willing to declare he's better than Mariotta. Whoopti--do. The Titans are carrying him more than he is carrying the Titans. There is no 'franchise QB' there. It's just a stacked team with an average/servicable QB. then who cares *ONCE AGAIN ONE OF YOU FAN BOYS PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION... WHETHER YOU THINK TANNEHILL IS ABOVE AVG OR NOT IS IRRELVANT! HE IS NO A MIAMI DOLPHIN, AND WE COULD NOT PUT THE PIECES IN PLACE TO MAKE HIM SUCCESSFUL. HE was AVERAGE on his BEST days in Miami, Why does he have his own thread with over a thousand posts that has been near the top of the front page for at least over a year.. I'm gonna check the OP original date in a second. I've been seeing this joke thread for quite a long time now. And I'm just about tired of keeping quiet about it

Never said 10-6 sucks.. I said the team played above their skill level on paper. And I gave the vast majority of that credit to Flores. Most years 10-6 = playoff birth. But the AFC was stacked this year with strong teams.

That was a really dumb comment. Is this your attempt to belittle me? You are speaking o me as if I just started watching football. I watched more Titans than you apparently, before the trade, because I knew Henry was gonna be a star before Tannehole Lol.

Course, I'll be the first to admit, now-a-days I almost never watch the Titans. Largely in part because of this thread.

I actually am hoping Tannehole gets humiliated in the playoffs. Thats what a REAL Dolfan thinks of that handsome needy robot.

You speak of Tannehill like he's in Aaron Rodger's league or something? Do you really believe that.

Do you want me to make a list of all the sub-par QBs that won superbowls (because of outstanding supporting casts,) there's a solid handful. But if my Flacco comparison didn't do it nothing will. Because.. Flacco was servicable within a strong team, more than servicable.

But without that talent, he became nothing more than a Miami Tannehill.. I think it was an apt comparison. Hell the only difference I see is good fortune, which.. Flacco once had. Flacco plays in a similar style to Tannehill. And he was never that great..

Ever heard the expression "Rising tide lifts all ships?" Tannehill was on the right tide at the right time. He is not a Dolphin and doesn't belong on his forum at least not on the main board, For over a year for cryin out loud. PAAAAATHETIC. I WILL CALL IT WHAT IT IS.

I hope you fan boys enjoy living vicariously through the bum that did nothing for uis, ever.

J.C.!!!! I could understand having a Marino thread, a Griease thread, A Csonka, or Marx Bros, Larry Little, ZT, JT etc etc. Sure all these guys could have their own threads. They are Dolphin legends. Tannehill is nothing to us but a failure tbh. If he was so good he would carry.. not get carried. You can argue "he's helping." But a lot of very avg QBS could be thrust into his position and be successful with that team. Fitz could win a SB with the Titans.

SO finally, how many excuses can you come up with for why he couldn't play anywhere near like his "stats" in Ten, for Miami.

Don't go blaming the team. Above avg QBs carry sub-par teams to success often in this league.

Damn... when I made those first two posts in the thread I knew I had jumped into the clown car.

I don't know where The Guy is I dont know him personally, but ****, I imagine he just got tired of you fanboys and your bull****. I imagine that's why so many members have left us, and few new ones join us. You ever wonder why?

I can tell you why. I can tell the admins why, I can tell the mods why, I can tell the remaining members why...

THREADS LIKE THIS... BEING THE STAR OF THE SHOW. The other reason is the lack of traffic and/or the members who left us or went inactive.

I want to see the fan boys here run me off without using he ban hammer. Go ahead. I would not even call you guys my fellow fans. I'd tell people if they saw this thread, this forum... and before or after they slam the site cause the Feature is Tannehill, I will tell them, "Yeah I know, but those are mostly fake fair weather fans left on that site."

You need a new domain name guys? I bet TheTannehill.com is available. It would be more suitable.

And yeah I just ranted, and I doubt it will be read, but son, you aint running me off anywhere. I'm busy I drop in when I can. I think the majority are shameless fanboys. FH was better back in the day. But then again so was ThePhins, back in the day. ThePhins.com was pretty sweet in the beginnings. The majority of my posts here come from the first half of this decade. There's good reason. I liked the people/posters better, because they were real fans with objective thoughts and easy to start a dialogue (ABOUT THE FINS) with.

I imagine they got fed up with the homer BS. I'm getting there myself, lately. Soon ThePhins.com will be nothing but a cesspool circle jerk of about 8-10 fake fans. Maybe you can change it up and start a Food Network thread Martha.

The statistical measure I like best is passer rating because it has a strong history of being correlated to winning and because it uses a small number of well established variables.

    Ryan Tannehill’ league ranking.
    2019 - #1

Makes him a top 5 QB for 2 years in a row. This rules out the “it was a fluke” argument. If he does it again it will rule out “it was the other players holding him up” argument, but considering his performance has held up despite injuries/player turnover then I’d say this argument is mostly disproven already.

Yeah, agreed. Add in that the Tennessee offense is markedly different and far more effective with Tannehill.

LOL at this. Very interesting to see the camaraderie on the Titans.
