Cancel the trade for Bridgewater?????
Too soon? :) -
If by "ok" you mean it was exactly the same knee that gave out underneath him today as he ran untouched, then sure... it's 'ok'.
I wouldn't buy a car that was "ok" like that.jdang307 likes this. -

To be clear, I am glad his knee didn;t get WORSE today... but it is clearly not already ok.
WISHING he had nothing wrong with his knee should not blind us to the fact that his leg gave out on him today under circumstances that a healthy knee does not have any trouble handling. -
It seems like he slipped like on a baseball field. The video of him walking is good, but this almost happened.
-
It's really not. There's a report out there that it's inconclusive. Shows no new damage, but something is wrong that they are concerned about that's not related to the original injury. I mean, if it was, they'd know by now there is further damage to the ACL. The fact they're not saying that to me, says its not a re-tear of the ACL in the same area. I'm not a doctor.... but neither are those of you in other threads saying... see! this is why he should have had it last year! All accounts so far, are that they're unrelated. Just happens to be the same knee from everything I'm reading.
-
He's been running all-out on it this week without any issue, so I think that's as good of an indicator as any that his knee was healthy before the slip today. There's no way Gase would have him out there if that wasn't the case. -
The Miami Herald and ESPN are disputing this report.

But hey, I am not a doctor. -
And lets say he returns, the dolphins are going to limit him to staying in the pocket, not use his legs. Theyre not going to take a chance on his mobility after this injury.. when you keep tannehill in the pocket he becomes average
-
By the way you say it didn't buckle? The only video I saw was not very clear. What happened to then? Why did he go to the ground if it did not buckleLast edited: Aug 3, 2017Bpk likes this. -
And the Dolphins aren't very busy, so they like to run pointless MRI's on the same knee that a player injured, even though there is no real reason.jdang307 likes this. -
Reading up a bit and it seems that something like this takes the place aroud the site of the tear...
Also this...

In fact, most studies are inconclusive in regards as to whether or not bracing helps prevent further injuries. And in fact, a few studies show that bracing may cause further injury.
"Buckling", in most people's minds, means to crumple, tear, break, rip, and/or give out. His knee did none of this. He hyperextended his knee and felt pain. So yes, he fell, but not because his knee buckled. If someone punched you in the face and you fell would you claim your knee buckled? No? Then why did you fall? Lol... If his knee "buckled" he would have suffered catastrophic injuries to one or more structures of the knee. The MRI didn't show this. -

It's a weird feeling, never once did I go to the ground. I immediately lifted my foot off of the ground and limped around for a few steps. On one occasion my knee was sore for a few days, but I hadn't torn an ACL so I took it as a little bit of weird pain. -

Not so fast looks like season ending surgery

I'm going to put this as plainly as I can. IMHO Ryan Isn't going to be starting quarterback for the Dolphins for much longer. I think we need to seriously look at his successor soon rather than later.
He wasn't an all star before now a brace and now more issues with that knee. Will he recover physically maybe but I'm more worried about his mentality he's going to be cautious and throw picks when rushed
Hope he proves me wrong! -
