i am a lifelong Carolina fan, and a lifelong College World Series nut (i have planned vacations around watching it on TV when i didn't have a rooting interest there).

and in the last CWS to be held at Rosenblatt Stadium, my Gamecocks win their first national title in any major team sport! this is "Field of Dreams" stuff to me.
