Lol. Was at a Saints board to see what their reaction would be tonight. Giving us props and very impressed. A Falcon fan rubbed it in saying he had told them http://www.saintsreport.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127196 Henne makes the Dolphins dangerous. They finally got a guy who can make all the throws. I would not want to play a tight game against them. So now you guys are rethinking the win by the Falcons over the Dolphins now, huh? The Dolphins are a good team, period. Haha...ESPN has Chad Henne on the post game set talking about the game...they asked if Pat White's snaps were part of a wildcat package since White is technically a QB...Chad's response.."Yeah, that is part of our wildcat...Pat has a little package." Last one had me cracking up
We're dangerous because their run defense isn't very strong. We run, control the clock, and hopefully have a chance near the end. Our gameplan is the same for the saints as it was for the colts and jets. Run, run, and run. Keep their offense off the field. We do that in two weeks and the saints might let us sneak one out. But, like the colts, the saints can score in 1 play.
they're nuts. they're saying we still suck. a few are more level headed The Pats fans are actually giving us some respect though. We had our statement game "Weeeee''reeeeeeee Baaaaaaaaaaaacccccccccckkkkkk"
I really hope Vontae and Smith bounce back. They had a few screw ups each. We need their A game against the Saints
Pretty respectful thread over there. And one guy makes a good point. They get the Giants next week. That could be a very physical game. They could come out of it with some nicks and bruises. Isn't it nice to be respected like this? Finally?
eh some guy at the saints board said we run a circus offense. explain to me how a formation that's 100 years old can be considered 'circus'?
ehh there's always going to be a few but for the most part the posters there respect us. People are annoyed because noone else runs it successfully. Did you see the Jesters try to run the Seminole formation or whatever they called it?
I think they'll continue to improve but I just don't think there's anyway around the growing pains they'll have to endure while they learn on the job...
agreed. this team is going to be so sick next year when we add some players. A couple of LBs, a WR, a TE, just sick. A full year of experience for Henne, Smith, Vontae, Hartline
Well, that's a breath of fresh air from these d-bags we've been listening to all week thinking they were gonna blow us out because they're god's gift to football.
I wouldn't say that. The Saints have the #7 ranked rushing defense ,#11 passing D, #7 for points allowed,#1 scoring D, and the rest can be looked up by anyone that's interested. As a Saints fan I'm concerned with the Dolphins because they have a good D. I'm glad that the Saints will have some film of Henne and the new packages and Pat's little package( I hope that doesn't make it to U-Tube.) I see it as a very tough game. Anyway, the game tonight was a very good game to watch and y'all have every right to be happy. It was a big and much needed win for the Dolphins to get them back on track. Y'all enjoy it. See you in a couple of weeks.
Not even the 11-5 Dolphins got this type of respect in terms of being a threat in the passing game. God. I can't remember the last time I heard that... late 90s? Even at 2-3, it sure sounds nice. We're going to be VERY tough to defend as Henne gets even better and more comfortable with the offense. The way we run the football, that play action is going to be available every week. And that was Darrelle Revis in coverage, folks. Won't see a better CB this year as we don't have Oakland on the schedule (unfortunately). Ted Ginn runs that deep route / double pump to perfection. We've called that play a ton in the past but Pennington usually checks down.
That was indeed Revis that he got with that route, and then Rhodes and Leonhard. There may not be a Revis in New Orleans, but they've got a few ballhawks. Sharper being the most prolific right now. And their defensive line was all over Sanchez last week. Their ends were killing the Jet tackles all day long.
Saints Report is a good board... For the most part, I've found their posters extremely friendly. Saint Greg, the guy who helps me with the GM League, will probably pop his head in sometime next week if he hasn't already.
Another thing I like about that thread is that you can see that we are really entertaining all NFL fans this year.....ppl love watching us play and can't get enough of Ronnie, Ricky and the Wildcat
thx. ive seen a couple of your games. you guys have improved your defense and your offense is well nuff said. lets hope for an injury fre gm
Doesn't it feel good to be acknowledged as "dangerous" around the league? Not since Dan Marino, bro... Let's keep it up.
I've lived in New Orleans for over 10 years. All my friends are die-hard, bat-**** crazy Saints fans. They are a loyal, fervent group, but they don't get too-big heads, cause they've been beaten down over the years. I think they've only been to the playoffs 4 times in the history of the team. Anyway, I've watched a lot of the Saints and their offense is for real (duh, great insider scouting report!). This Sunday we'll learn a lot about their defense.
Indeed. Charles Grant and Will Smith are a great DE combo. The Saints imo are the best team in the NFL, and we're going to need to play them much like we played the Colts. Keep their high powered offense off the field. However, unlike the Colts, the Saints can run the ball, I like Pierre Thomas alot. It's definitely going to be a very tough game, but if we kept with the colts and should of beat them, then we have a chance against the Saints.
Actually I had already done just that. I didn't think it was accurate. I've been using the Saints defense in FF - (except for this week) and they've been really good to me so far. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categoryst...sonType=REG&tabSeq=2&qualified=true&Submit=Go
The only thing that could make this day better, is to see a miserable Mike Greenberg on Mike and Mike this morning.
