I would rather we play them at their best, but somehow it won't upset me if this helps us get a win.

Screw it I'd rather not play them at their best. A team like the Patriots I like to play at their best. This I don't mind as much.Exploit!

That makes us about even then doesn't it? We've been without starting OLB Matt Roth the entire season. Really I don't buy into all that having to beat them at their best in order to feel accomplished.
I used to think it was important. But it's not. Getting the win is what's important.High Definition, dolfan7171 and Agua like this. -
Their LB's aren't the strongest anyhow, so he will be a fairly big miss for them.

supposedly evans is pretty bad. we'll see. i havent been impressed with their OLBs to begin with. I liked Vilma but thats it

Just win. Wilson and our ILB's worry me too. We have had no defense up the middle. Especially in the passing game. I expect Shockey to have an all pro performance.
I just want to keep their offense on the bench and win.late again likes this. -
my problem going into this game is not our offense vs their defense. I think our offense is going to score enough points to win the game (with or without all their starters). I have zero faith our defense is going to stop the Saints offense.
Isn't it funny that the guys we are hearing from the most this weeks are the guys that have cost us the most (win/loss wise).late again likes this. -
their defense is overrated
they ride the skirt-tales of their offense
when we dominate time of possession
it will be a very different story -
Detroit's Matthew Stafford - 1st NFL start 3 INTs 1 SK
Philly's Kevin Kolb - 1st NFL start 3 INTs 1 SK
Jet's Mark Sanchez rookie and 4th NFL start - 3 INTs 4 SKs
Trent Edwards is just a crappy QB period.
BUT....
1. They still forced Eli into a subpar game
2. Our own Chad Henne also lacks NFL experience.
If we can play like we did against Indy then I expect we will win. Because unlike Indy, the Saints need to run some to set up their passing game - IMO. -
Miami has been over-looked & disrespected
this will be the turning point in 2009 season and
one horrendously violent game from beginning to end
24/27-Miami:hammer:dolfan7171, Jeffrey and late again like this. -
The upside for Henne is he has played in the Saints building last year and this year in the preseason. Henne got into a zone in the preseason against the Saints second stringers (10 straight completed passes). This time, the talent level will be different and the crowd will be much louder, but he might be fairly comfortable playing there.
It is his first road game as a starter so it will be very interesting to see how he plays. I think he will be just fine, but we will see. -

Bottom Line: The Saints have NEVER won in Miami...I don't see anything changing.
