Saints released TE Eric Johnson.
Johnson has been slow to recover from ankle surgery and was already three steps too slow, so he may be out of work for awhile. As the Saints' starter in 2007, he caught 48 passes, averaging a paltry 7.9 YPC. Once a valuable receiver, Johnson has become a late-career version of Jermaine Wiggins. Jul. 25 - 4:51 pm et
