The damn Raiders beat the Broncos. This helps our small playoff hopes(we all know the broncos are prone to an epic collapse). However, if we had won, we'd be in a playoff spot right now. Deja vu. Just like after the Buffalo game, which would have put us into 1st place after we beat the Pats the next week. We've had numerous chances to take either first place in the division or a wild card spot and hold it, yet lost those games because of turnovers. That's the glaring difference between 2008 and 2009. We've put up more points this year, but have turned the ball over waaaay more often. Speaking of turnovers, I kind of find it amazing we still almost won even with 4 of them. The defense held strong in the 4th quarter/OT for the third week in a row.
It's great that the Raiders won, but it sucks that this is the second time in a month we lost a game because of turnovers, when it would have put us in the drivers seat to the playoffs. Now we need help, yet again. This will make you ALL feel better: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/12688018/have-dreams-jets-fans-watch-your-team-crush-them You're welcome.
This likely wouldn't have been Miami's year in the playoffs, anyway. Playoffs are a bonus to me two years out from 1-15. I'm thrilled with where the team is and expect big things starting next year.
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more...... we can do this....we can do this.....I believe, I still believe!!!!
Even if we'd won today, still would have need help from other teams. That's a bad way to get in the playoffs; you'd take it regardless, but it's tenuous as hell.
Heck, id love to get in to the playoffs just to get Henne's feet wet...and rub it in to jets fan faces
We got the help we would've needed. The Raiders beat the Broncos, which would've given the Dolphins the tiebreaker over Denver had we won, and we'd be holding onto the 6 seed right now. However, hopefully we can still sneak in. Playoff experience is valuable no matter what. Plus, it's an extra game.
