I couldn't resist the cheesy play on words, but in any case, here's my follow up to last week's piece on Vernon Carey:

Statistically, Satele had a monster rookie campaign, but the question at hand is, will the Samoan center ever reach Dwight Stevenson levels?

Couldnt have put it better myself.:hi5:
Lets just wait a couple more years to see
I think he IS the real-deal, and was advocating us getting him over Kalil in last years draft (Sure glad that fell into place as it did)
That being said, Dwight was one of the best that ever snapped the ball.... -

Much to early to tell because Satele has only played 1 year, and should wait at least 2 to 3 more years to even start to make a any compaison.

As for Dwight Stevenson, I don't know who that is. -
Wow. Wayyyyy to early. Stephenson was the man. That's just setting the bar way to high for the kid. Let's just say that center is now one of the few positions on the team where we can feel confident and no need to address with a new starter.

To me Stephenson was not only our best Center ever, but the best Center in the history of the NFL....sadly his career ended a few years early, but he was one of the main reasons Marino was rarely ever sacked, along with Dan's quick release.

SS is a stud. Can he get to that level? Sure. Will he? WHO KNOWS. Time will tell, but at this point he is not and should not be compared to a HOFer.

Incidentally, I too think that I'm crazy for even mentioning Satele's name in the same breath as that of Stephenson.
