Santonio Holmes: Dolphins can’t unload Ted Ginn Jr. http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...-cant-unload-ted-ginn-jr/?cxtype=rss_dolphins I hope so....
Well Santonio, if only the devil had drafted you instead of Jason allen we wouldn't even need to have this discussion
I keep hearing it takes time, well this will be his fourth year in the league. I do not want to wait any longer. I want a #1 reciever!
No kidding, its strange that it seems every player, coach, and waterboy in the league seems to have an opinion on Ted Ginn's future in Miami. Like, what the heck... is Ginn paying these people to spin positive PR about him? All jokes aside, I still think Ted's got tons of potential, I just wish we could find a way to tap into it in a real hurry.
probably....i dunno.....cause reporters ask about him its not like santonio holmes was like "and while iam here....let me just say something about ted ginn jr, i need to get it off my chest"
This has to be the make or break year. I've been a big supporter of his - he was very raw coming out and coupled with the learning disorder and ridiculous circumstances of the 1-15 year, coaching change then QB change I think he is still figuring it out. Plus guys like Vincent Jackson and Miles Austin took 4 years. Citing this article, 21% of receivers broke out in their 4th year between 1998-2005. In fact, nearly the same percentage break out in their 4th year as in their 2nd year. http://www.footballdocs.com/WR_three_year_rule.html
In before this turns into 10 page hate thread on Ted Ginn. On topic: Santonio, I am with you man. Expecting big things from Ginn this year believe it or not.
I assume holmes did not get to watch ginn play against San Diego where he alligator armed and slowed his pace to avoid contact on 2 plays that would have been touchdowns. He is a kick returner and 4th wide receiver until he overcomes his fear of contact. I can not stand it when I see him lined up at wide out. Do I pray every day that he will emerge and love him for it? Yes I do. He needs a summer with Jerry Rice. Heck, I'll pay for his flight.
Reading the article with regard to his comments on Ginn vs. his comments on Hartline truly gives one that has actually watched the Dolphins games last year the impression that he has never actually seen any Dolphins tape in his life. I mean it was laughable to me just how far off his critiques were. Substitute the name Ginn for Hartline and they would have been far more accurate. The brightside however would seem to be if Ginn had any trade value, it would seem to be the highest in Pittsburgh so get on the phone FO, let's get this done!
Poor Ted. On another note, you should photoshop a bottle of Hennessy into Henne's hand in that sig pic.
all i know is that i made a trade on madden 10 for ocho cinco and i kept ginn as the #2 WR and i'm loving every minute of it!
Well, I don't get why Henning and Sparano don't get him more involved in the WC or use him as a satellite player like Reggie Bush. It's obvious the guy is at his best creating in space. Get him involved in more reversals after the initial jet sweep motion by Ricky, create some screen plays out of the wildcat, line him up beside the QB in shotgun formation and run some option plays and swing passes to him. Do SOMETHING that caters to his strengths, you know? We need to get our money's worth out of him until he learns how to play the position of WR correctly.
Ouch.... getting the Santonio Holmes seal of approval just doesn't mean what it used to....... like 24 hours ago
Ofcourse he says that. They were teammates/friends and in spite of Ginn's success against the Jets Santonio knows how bad our WR core is b/c Ted is the number 1
