Yes, there was actually a practice today...based on the local reporters:

The team practiced in the bubble today. It was actually a pre-planned "closed" practice.

There was a close to the facility lightning strike that made Jason Taylor drop to the ground.

Will Allen practiced today, he participated in position drills but did not partake in any team drills

Appears we didn't escape the first preseason game without injuries. Both Austin Spitler and Koa Misi were nicked up. Omar reports we are planning on bringing in linebackers tomorrow for tryouts.

Chad Henne got heavy work, particularly in the red zone, throwing at least three TD strikes from close range. Marshall, Fasano and Hartline all getting in on the action

Kevin Burnett had a nice breakup in the redzone. I thought he struggled yesterday with his positioning on several plays.

First team offense took all reps in first two 11 on 11 sessions.

First team o line unchanged from last night. Murtha - Incog - Pouncey - Carey - Colombo

T Ray Willis is nowhere to be seen

First team D was the only team working in team drills as well.

Is that a coincidence? Think not, although might have something to do with being in the bubble more than what happened last night?

If you're wondering about LBers and who is out there:

    Brandon Chillar
    Gerald Hayes
    Eric Alexander
    Matt Wilhelm
    Leon Williams
    Jyles Tucker

List taken from nfl.com free agency tracker. I thought Tucker signed somewhere but apparently not. Boy I figure he'd be an upgrade over Trusnik.

Reminder, next public practice on Monday at 11am et. Sirius NFL Radio will be broadcasting live on Monday as well from the practice facility, starting at noon et.

We just signed Burnett, what, two hours ago? I think he'll need a little more time to acclimate

I don't think we see Long back until the first game of the season at the soonest.

i dont know why we don't sign Crowder back for a discount. It's not like he doesn't want to play here or we don't have the cap room...... unless he's injured beyond repair.

AFAIK Cooper was more or less going to have to settle for a mimimal deal in SD?

Like Tucker, but the 8 millie in cap space is a mythical beast per the latest Sports Buzz column, we need cheap wheels.

    Like a..Quinton Spears...:shifty:

yep... probably won't play all preseason. Hoping it's precautionary, gut tells me it might be more than that.

I don't believe Omar when he talks about the cap being tighter than the 8.5m. Not based on the unofficial #'s I've compiled.

Is the practice bubble private or do the fans get in on these?

Not quite. I've been there twice, even though it's not open for general public, some fans are allowed there.

I noboddy will like this but Crowder wanted to be here so why not use him for depth because he isnt that bad plus. who is going to confront Rex Ryan the dolphins need a gutsy player who isnt afraid to speak his mind.

Unless I missed them, details of his waiving were few and far between. Sparano appeared surprised he hung it up, but given other teams had contacted him, whatever happened in the context of those details, apparently ended his interest for the game.

A phone call would seem a very simple solution, unless his bridge back was cremated upon exit.

Unless something happens to Burnett or Dansby, Crowder won't be back. He doesn't play special teams. You're not going to bring him back to sit on the bench and not play special teams.
