Amazon Prime’s slate of 2024 regular season games will kick off with an AFC East matchup. The broadcaster announced on Tuesday that the Bills will travel to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami to face the Dolphins to kick off Week Two of the season on Thursday Night Football. The September 12 game will get underway at 8:15 p.m. ET. Buffalo swept the Dolphins last season, including a Week 18 Sunday night win that made the Bills the AFC East champs. The Bills have a four-game winning streak against their divisional rivals that includes a Wild Card win after the 2022 season, so the Dolphins will be looking to end an extended slide. The Bills-Dolphins game is the sixth one that has been announced ahead of Wednesday night’s full schedule reveal. Four Week One games have been announced along with a Sunday afternoon game between the Bengals and Chiefs in Week Two.
It's great to get them so early in the season on one hand. The heat will be a factor. Plus will all their new additions, they might not be up to speed. Now if we just don't get the 2nd game so late in the season this could be a nice early game.
Who cares man, we got the home game on a thursday nite, **** the Sun to try and gain an advantage, just beat them at home
I swear to God Almighty this is a conspiracy against the Dolphins. Season ender against the Bills in Miami, the league flexed the game to prime time, taking the Bills out of the heat and humidity of the Miami day. Playoff game against the Chiefs, with dangerous temperatures already forecasted, the league flexed the game to prime time, to take away the warmth of the sun and make it even colder for the non-native Miami team. Because of the Bills ***CRYING*** about how HOT is was in Miami October 2022, the league yet again bends the knee and screws the Dolphins. It’s the Dolphins vs opponents vs referees vs the league.
Thank you. This is blatantly helping Buffalo. Ever since Josh Allen almost fainted and put his head on Tua's shoulder to cry they have been getting break after break.
All Dolphins home games should be at 1:00pm. Why in the hell do you think we wear the whites as our home uniform? To make everybody else sweat even more in their dark colored home uniforms.
I care and you should too. The stadium was designed to give us home field advantage putting the opponent in the sun from 1 to 4 pm. The league just took that away in what is likely our most important home game. It's bs.
I agree. No one wants to play in Orchard park in late December. All that lake effect snow is an advantage for the Bills and a disadvantage for teams like Miami that doesn’t have snow. Our SAUNA of a stadium is our home field advantage and we should want to exploit it to the fullest against every visiting team.
Because I don’t want sun advantages to help us win. Having a home game on a Thursday nite is enough to not complain
The only home field advantage the Dolphins have is the sun. You know there's going to be 40% Bills fans there for a night game in early September.
Perhaps not, it’s a week nite, lot of folks can’t leave work, plus the rock if people get off their *** and participate can have a real advantage now
Some more schedule leaks. Week 1: Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Thursday, September 5 Week 1: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers, Friday, September 6 (in Brazil!) Week 1: Dallas Cowboys at Cleveland Browns, Sunday, September 8 Week 1: New York Jets at San Francisco 49ers, Monday, September 9 Week 2: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday, September 15 Week 2: Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins, Thursday, September 12 https://twitter.com/BuffaloBills/status/1790396176665084118
I don't think it's a conspiracy. But I really don't like the games basically on pay per view. The day's of watching the NFL for free are going into the past. The greed makes the product not fan friendly.
I hesitate to post this as if they lose a couple of games it will be all about how easy their strength of schedule was. Bills - 7th Pats - 10th Jets - 15th Dolphins - 26th
Jet's on the road to 9ers 1st game and then a long flight and a short week for game 2. I do like that.
Myself personally, strength of schedule is utter nonsense. Too many variables that affect teams and what should be a powerhouse could suddenly implode into embarrassment…and what is projected to be an embarrassment can explode into a juggernaut. Last season it was the New York Jets that were going to be the dominant force in the AFC East and even the AFC itself. Rodgers goes down with a torn Achilles on the 3rd snap and the Jets became the Jets. San Francisco was bitten by the injury bug in 2022/2021 and they were forced to resort to Mr Irrelevant to helm the offense and look how that worked out for them!
Find a Kindle Fire TV app like TV Mob or Sportsfire that has Skysports NFL on it. Expect a bunch of commercial breaks where a former NFL player explains something that confused the English studio hosts (like why a player recovered a flubbed punt but couldn't advance the ball). It beats taking a chance on getting a virus by watching it on your computer through a sketchy site.
I order from Amazon 2-3 times per year and my orders usually qualify for free shipping. It wouldn't benefit me to get it for my orders and I'm not paying just to watch us play once a year. If I get desperate, I'll sign up for the 30-day free trial.
Am I the only one that is happy with this fixture? Home teams on Thursday night have a massive advantage, think they won 64% of games last season. It’s also so early in the season the NFL will have next to no film on the new wrinkles McDaniel will add to the offence to get Hill and Waddle free releases. Buffalo have a lot of new WR and Allen may not be in sync with them by week 2. There may not be sunshine but I’m betting it will still be damn hot and humid in Miami on the 12th September. Personally I love playing them at home this early.
All good points but putting Buffalo in their dark colored jerseys at 1pm in the sun for three hours would be even better. Part of what bothers me about it is how they flexed the home game this past season to 8pm helping Buffalo. This will be two years in a row the league helps out the Bills in taking away the advantage we have in the heat. And I might be wrong but I'm willing to bet the last game will be in frigid Buffalo.
Oh you can be sure the 2nd game against Buffalo will be in late December. You know, not intending to divert this thread but… Take a look at a map of the US, it really sinks in if you use a full sized paper map, and look at the NFL by divisions. No other team has to travel as much within their division as the Dolphins do…and no other team has to endure such drastic temperature changes within their division as the Dolphins do. Makes me wish the league would re-align again and push the Colts back to the AFC East and the Dolphins to the AFC South. But then again, we’d lose that extreme heat advantage…at least when the league isn’t trying to screw us. Sorry, I digressed
The Vikings will play a home game against the Jets on October 6 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The Bears will play a home game against the Jaguars on October 13, also at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Jaguars will stay in London and play a home game against the Patriots on October 20 at Wembley Stadium. The Panthers will play a home game against the Giants on November 10 at Allianz Arena.
So they revealed the two Christmas Day games. The Dolphins aren't playing in either game but they're both exclusively on Netflix. This is getting a little crazy with the greed. Games in London, Germany, Brazil and exclusive content for every streaming service under the sun. Man I miss the good old days when TV was free for everyone.
I'm a tad grumpy the league won't make the Bill's play in the 1pm heat, but give me a week 7-10 Sunday game in Buffalo and I'll be OK with it. I have no desire to March into Buffalo in the heart of december. Jets and Patriots IDGAF. Also, no Cleveland in December. Elite defense in the cold weather is just not great. Would love to get Seattle out of the way early. Hell, have it be week 1.
