IF that's the schedule, I'd PISSED if I were the Dolphins. Wow. Borderline disrespectable. But let's all remember where good ol' Rog is from..........
Look at the Jets 1st 3 games: Week 1: Monday, Sept. 9 at 49ers (Monday Night Football) Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 15 at Titans Week 3: Thursday, Sept. 19 vs Patriots (Thursday Night Football) 2 short weeks in a row Then: Week 4: Sunday, Sept. 29 vs Broncos Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 6 at Vikings (in London) Long Flight Week 6: Monday, Oct. 14 vs Bills (Monday Night Football) Short Week Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 20 at Steelers (Sunday Night Football) Week 8: Sunday, Oct. 27 at Patriots Week 9: Thursday, Oct. 31 vs Texans (Thursday Night Football) Short Week Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 10 at Cardinals Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 17 vs Colts (Sunday Night Football) Week 12: BYE Week 13: Sunday, Dec. 1 vs Seahawks Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 8 at Dolphins Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 15 at Jaguars Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 22 vs Rams Week 17: Sunday, Dec. 29 at Bills Week 18: Saturday, Jan. 4 or Sunday, Jan. 5 vs Dolphins
Wow, 7 games in which they are guaranteed to be seen by fans and broadcast in prime time or the line Sunday morning game in London. Gee, how are they getting so much exposure?
Meh, could be a lot worse. NFL definitely doesn't want us to get that 1pm sun advantage, but they need to give us prime time to do it. They also don't screw us with cold weather. That Cleveland game will be awful, but I'm not scared of finishing against the Jets. San Fran at home and Houston in a dome. Tough stretch but some winnable games. We get Buffalo out of the way relatively early and get Seattle and Green Bay outside of the worst of the weather windows too. No Christmas, no international. Playing the NFC West, there was always bound to be some suck in the schedule since we would have to make a pair of west coast trips, but the lack of international kind of mitigates it a touch. Either Rogers returns and they take off and are an elite team, or they blow and Rogers probably gets hurt again. Either way, people are interested, more in seeing the latter I assume. I know I am!
I look at this way.If your truly an elite team you don't worry about the schedule.Do you think the Pats with Brady or now the Chiefs or even the 49ers now gave a **** about the schedule? If your worried about it you know this a flawed team.
Yes, they most definitely do give a ****. Short weeks, long flights, cold/hot weather games all can and do affect a team’s performance. Ask the Bills who whined incessantly after their 2022 loss in Miami about the Sun being too hot. What has happened since? The NFL gave them night games in Miami. Basically taking away Miami’s home field advantage. However, the NFL makes teams go up to Buffalo and KC and play in sub zero temps and snow. The biggest problem with the Dolphins schedule is the divisional alignment. No other team in the NFL has teams in their division with such a distance and weather disparity. I really wish the Dolphins had left the AFCE when they had a chance. Being in the AFCS would be so much nicer. And let’s not pretend that it’s “this” team that worries about the cold. The Dolphins have historically been a bad cold weather team. However, with games going later and later in the year they play them more often. Marino played in 15 games that were 40 degrees or colder. His teams were 7-8 in those games. That was out of 243 games. Tua, in 53 games, has had 7 such cold weather games.
Never mentioned Allen.I said Brady or Mahomes and 49ers. And we should be worried I guess because our Qb is 0-6 in cold weather games so I guess we need to win 10 games going to into December then.So in that case u are correct. But our x factor should be run,run and run some more. Marino never had that option.
You know thats not 100 percent true.Look at the Pats.Brady leaves they suck,Burrow shows up all the sudden the Bengals go to 2 AFC championships. He gets hurt out of playoffs. How many superbowls would Chiefs have without Mahomes? Bills never had an elite roster. As much I don't like him and he chokes in playoffs the Bills would be nowhere without Allen.
Well I guess no point in watching season guys.U guys already have the excuses ready for next season in we are in may.The schedule is what it is so find away.
Look, everyone KNOWS my mindset as it pertains to football. It’s the only true TEAM sport. No ONE player wins a game and no ONE player loses a game. You can have one player lighting up the stat board…doing his job…doing what’s EXPECTED of him but if the other 10 players on that side of the ball…or the other 11 players on the other side of the ball aren’t doing their job, your chances of winning aren’t good. That’s just a fact.
It’s absolutely 100%. The Pats went to the playoffs with the 6th ranked offense and 2nd ranked defense with Mac Jones as a rookie. The Pats won 11 games with Matt Cassel. The last two seasons the Pats had two of their worst ranked defenses over the past 20+ years. Brady definitely covered for flaws, flaws that all teams have, but even he couldn’t overcome less than average defenses. He was just lucky to only have below average defense twice in his career while in NE. Then his last season in Tampa they went 8-9 with an average defense. Teams win games. Until a QB goes out and wins a game all by himself that will always be 100% true.
IMHO one player can absolutely lose you the game. Be it a corner that gets toasted seemingly ever play, a running back that fumbles at the worst time, a QB that throws a bad pick six at the end of the game, or a guy that gets a dumb penalty (Chubb removing helmet).
He just gave several examples of how one play\player can lose a game... how did he prove your point of saying no one play or player can lose a game? "No ONE player wins a game and no ONE player loses a game."
You entirely miss the point. They shouldn't be in that situation where one play loses the game. There were MANY MANY plays that could have been made prior to the "one" play.
So your saying when a Qb throws 3 ints 40 percent completion rate and the Def holds the other team to 17 pts and.lose.The Qb didn't lose the game? And all the 4th quarter qb comebacks shouldn't count for the Qb but for the team?
Yes if the receivers ran the wrong routes, didn't catch the ball cleanly and knocked it into the air. etc. It's not always that simple.
Scroll through these threads and you will see, “Tua hasn’t won____” or words to that effect. He literally proved my point that no ONE player, in this regard being Tua, is responsible for winning or losing games.
On the flipside of your argument you have guys like zach wilson who without a doubt lost games for jets.
Impossible!! This low talent, QB needy, injury prone team sucks! 2024 NFL DIVISION PREDICTIONS: WINNERS FOR EACH AFC AND NFC DIVISION https://amp.foxsports.com/stories/n...ictions-winners-for-each-afc-and-nfc-division
Hey brother jmo here I think to try and create a healthy board with good honest respectful discussion we shouldn’t direct our findings toward the very small minority ?? I notice a lot of pundits who make the mistake of directing their narratives towards and addressing the very small minority, which gives their ignorance acknowledgement. I have no issues with people who want to debate whether we have the right Qb, that’s something I can respect, as long as their argument is respectful and conscientious of context then all good.
I was thinking about this schedule a little more and have come to the conclusion and most won't agree. This schedule could be better for us playing the **** teams first. For one it will be more time for Chubb and Pbillips to return and another more time to learn a new defensive system. We are going to need both to beat these better teams late season .Of course we could also have a repeat of our last 2 December collapes but will see. I can see us 9-3 or 10-2 going into that stretch with this early cupcake schedule.
