    maybe, the aliens are really giant platypus's!!!! Like that movie cats and dogs, but with platypus's and tasmanian devils. Did I just blow your mind?

    Adding to the confusion they have not found traces of Irridium which is usually associated with meteor impacts with the earth .

    The meteor which resulted in the extinction of the dinosaurs left an irridium layer throughout the world.

    However it could have been a a comet which is basically made of Ice and loose rock which could explain why it exploded in the atmosphere.

    Isn't Iridium the stuff that some scientists measure to predict earthquakes?
