I can't wait for the day that it is truly mainstream. Been waiting awhile.
Right now there are some Dell workstations with 64GB solid state drives. It's still not cost effective just yet. But we're getting closer. -
The only thing that worries me is data recovery. I know there is a chance to recover data if my HDD fails. If a solid state fails I think it is done.

That said, I'm sure there will be companies out there that will adapt or pop up and take on that responsibility. But that's never a cheap solution anyway.
Still, you have the ability to jump them like current drives. Generally they use a SATA interface. I've seen some that also have a mini-USB interface. :)
