That was Courtney Roby, return man and back-up WR ( starters sat out that game),Lance Moore was still recovering from an injury. It was a great pick though.

He is critical to our having a chance to beat the Saints, so he really does need to step up his game big time Sunday. so does the rest of our secondary.

He's had flashes of being an amazing player. I'd love to see him get consistent with that. He's done a passing job for the most part in the games he's been in. I'm honestly pretty proud of both of the corners we drafted, they've been targetted and picked on and haven't given up many big plays.

Maybe we should draft two Safeties in the next draft...

Smith hasn't made the big INT or play yet but I think he has consistently covered guys down the field. Not a bad job at all for a rookie, IMO. I have a feeling he is going to get a pick on Sunday.

Actually, he did make one big play. He deflected pass going towards Edwards in the Jets game when he trailing him by a few steps.

Oh yeah, that's right, good call on that.

I like the fact that if he's a step off he's got the closing speed to get in there and make up for it. Seems like that will play a lot to his INT ability. Make the QB thing he's got an open target, and the ZIP, in for the pick.

Curious to see what we do with the CBs when Will Allen's contract expires, if we just play Smith and David opposite each other, or keep Allen around for a bit and rotate all 3 of them in. I could see them shopping Allen around this year if these two keep getting better.

I think it was a 3 year extension.

Good to hear it,it sounds like Smith is ready to play his best on Sunday. We are going to need him to blanket their receivers. I hope he is on top of his game.

the kid is bilingual too. what else does he do?

i think we should bring him in as a red zone receiver.

When does everyone think Patrick Turner will get some snaps? Is the only way he sees the field is by someone else getting injured? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Well if Allen picked up the extension, I wouldn't be surprised if next year one of those three (probably Allen) is trade bait. Jeeze, it would be nice to get low # draft picks from other people for once, I'd totally be down for that.

I think everyone is wondering that because he is such a big play threat. Sparano did say in an interview that he was getting better and better in practice. I think it is a matter of time that he will get a start. I would love to see it in this game vs the Saints.

if sanchez threw as bad in college, as he has been lately, maybe patrick turner IS that big tall receiver that will go up and come down with the ball. the one the team needs.

maybe braylon edwards is sanchez's new patrick turner.
